Gone by Christmas!

  • Christmas is about 2 months away, and we all would like to look our best for the holidays.....I invite you to join me and see how much weight we can lose before Christmas. Whether you have a goal weight in mind or just want to see how much you can lose in the next three months-lets give it a go!

    A little about me...

    My name is Leanne....I am 25 and the mother of a 2.5 year old boy and a 3 month old boy. I started my weight loss journey after the birth of my son on July 30th, 2003. I weighed 215 pounds and I am presently 173. My goal weight for Christmas is 150 or LESS.
    I run 5-6 days a week and I am on a very strict low carb diet. I am more motivated than EVER to get this weight off...

    I look forward to hearing from ANYONE who has the same goal of wanting to spend the next 2 months working hard at losing weight and looking WONDERFUL for the holidays.

    My name is Ricci. I am 26 and a mom to two boys, 3 and 5. My husband and I recently started the power 90 workout program. I am so with you on wanting to look good for Christmas. I have a brother who is getting married in December, and want to lose weight before the wedding. I hope to see you in here more.

    Nice to hear from you....how much weight are you trying to lose? I still have about 22 pounds until I reach my christmas goal, but about 35 until I reach my ultimate personal goal..
    I am working REALLY hard to achieve my goal, and as you know with two kids it isnt always easy.
    TOday I weighed in at 172.6-yay!....I am a HUGE scale addict and I weigh myself everyday...(I am trying to work on it...)

  • I have to lose about 30 lbs in all. I , too am working really hard to reach that goal. I lost 40 lbs about a year and a half ago, and now I have stalled. I have the exercise part down, but I know i need to REALLY work on the food part. I have been doing portion control and drinking alot of water. I hear you about the scale thing. I've tried to cut back to twice a week, but it doesn't work that way.

    Right now, I am at the in-laws house and they have NO scale, I am sticking to my program 110% but not having a scale around is driving me NUTS.....Everytime I go grocery shopping I see all those christmas cookies and treats out already.....I love it!

  • This might seem strange to WW people, but a scale is not the best way to judge the weight being lost... I for one, incorporate a good deal of exercise into my week. Therefore, when I initially began losing a lot of fat, I would slow at points b/c of muscle I was gaining. Just a thought for you... Also, if you are eating healthy foods, getting regular exercise, you should allow yourself a little cookie here and there... good luck to all!

    Good for you. I have been so busy lately, so forgive me for not posting more often. Today was my "free" day, but I didn't over do it. The body fat on my scale was down 5% from last month, but I amnot sure how accurate that is. At least there was a change. I hope your having a good weekend. I know we can do we can lose the weight we need to.

    Congrats on being down on your body fat, even if it isnt "right" it showing that you are down, and that is GREAT!!!
    I am still addicted to my scale....today I am 165.6.YAY!!!!

    I KNOW we will make our Christmas Goals!
