Happy New Year!
We are back home.
I am starting a new workout rotation. Hopefully with the new thyroid meds I can start making some progress! Looking forward to the New Year!

Hello everyone. I am an old member but not been here in a good while. I was struggling before Christmas to get below 184, put on 2 lbs over Christmas, and somehow miraculously hit the scale at 182 this morning, so a good start to the New Year.
We moved house in March last year and after struggling like mad to get my treadmill into its destination room, and being told "You'd better use it after all this" - I didn't use it at all until yesterday! But yesterday I did a good 45 minutes walk. I would like to start running again, but I've had sore hips lately and I'm not sure I can stand the more high-imoact exercise of running, so I'm going to stick to walking until I lose some weight so the impact on my hips will be less.
I am determined to do it this year, whch is why I have come back here as I always found it a really good means of support and inspiration. Also my daughter has lost 30 pounds and looks incredible and my husband has lost about the same without even trying (makes me sick how easily it falls off him). I have bags of too-small clothes in storage that I WILL get back into. So here I am.

Good Morning, Everyone and Welcome Back!
Happy New Year!

Have a Blessed day!
Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters
January 1
1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
As Christians, we believe that God dwells within us. Our bodies become His home, and it makes sense that we should try to make His surroundings as nice as possible. The temple of God in Israel was kept immaculately clean and pure. Only the most clean and holy of men were allowed to enter it. It was revered by all. The temple was the most holy and special place of all. When we are told that our bodies are the temple of God, it is not an option whether or not we will take care of it; it is a duty. When we care for our physical being, we are making God's temple a holy and special place.
Today's thought: We diet not only for ourselves, but for God!

Hello. I am back. Feeling a bit peckish. Back up to 209 [just a bit of a bump up but my first week ever where I gained weight].
Well, what I really learned is my body cannot eat the old way again. Physically I feel terrible. Dizzy. headachy, Nauseous and I hope it goes away soon. If anything, this deviation will help me remember to steer a straight course. It is not worth it. I fell like I have a hangover but did not have ANY alcohol.

Good Morning Chilly Chicks!
Grannynancy: glad you made it back! I'm going to weigh here in a few minutes. I think our weights are pretty close, as I've bounced up again, it'll be nice to go into 2018 like this and see where we are at the 6 mos. point. You have been doing so Well, you will probably pass me, and I'll be playing Catch Up! I don't know if you looked back at the old posts from the end of Dec., but I took down the profile pic of my 16 year old dog, Phoenix, who passed away a couple of years ago, and put Huck on my profile so you can see him if you'd like. I'll put old Phoenix back up a little later. She was a good dog!
CieCie: I will check out TOPS today. Thanks for the tip. I need to decide and get on board with something.
Nancy: I hope you get back and are safe and warm!
Diana: Happy New Year! Thanks for the daily inspiration and keeping this thread going month after month!
Robsia: welcome!
Ok. Need coffee and the scale...

I will be more in tune with everyone else tomorrow am -- I felt AWFUL today and checked my BP and it had shot up to 163/97. Some apricots and a warm shower got it down to 150/95 but then I drank some yogi detox tea and I am at 135/80 which is in a much safer zone. I think some of the weight may be water as well ........WOW........I cannot eat the way I used to eat...damn up again.........
