Default In need of serious help because I feel very lost and disheartened

Hi all! I just signed up for this forum because I'm really in a desperate need of help.

I'm 5'1 (156cm) and 130 pounds (59kg) and this is honestly the heaviest I've ever been so I'm freaking out. Especially because I've been exercising regularly for the longest time and mostly eat healthy.

Currently, I do long distance running on 2 days and then go to the gym and lift weights on 2 other days. I don't really eat rice or pasta and eat mostly chicken or salmon.

However, my problem isn't only about gaining weight (from about 52-53kg to 59kg now). My weighing scale showed that my fat percentage increased tremendously while my muscle percentage dropped. I used to be at a lighter weight when I ate junk food and didn't exercise at all.

I really need some advice, help, and support on this D:

Dear friend,
first of all: with BMI somewhere around 24.2 you are at healthy weight. You seem to be doing good job eating healthy and excercising regularly. What you need to work on is your mental state, not the physical one. You clearly have issues with the way you perceive your own body, and the stress you put on being thin.

Second, regular scales are hugely wrong about calculating your body composition. I dare say they just generate random numbers. There is no way you put on fat if you had been eating healthy diet and excercising regularly.

Last, but not least: carry on eating healthy, wholesome food. Enjoy a treat every now and then. Throw the scales out of the window. Live happy, healthy, fruitful life. Believe me, there are many people on this forum who would bite their hand off to be at the weight you are at.
Never let a stumble in the road be the end of the journey.

Starting again (again!) from February 2018. Obese and following keto.
