Nancy Diana is talking about Bolthouse Farms - I use it, too, and it's the best!
msgooch what weight app are you using? I weigh every day or I'll get out of control
Today so far:
breakfast - one egg omelet (one egg, small amount shredded mozzarella, baby spinach)
the rest of today planned:
snack - canned chicken breast w/light may and herb seasoning
lunch - organic chicken burrito
dinner - DH will barbecue some Omaha meats: pork ribs and tbone pork chops, and we'll have a veggie dish with.
Yesterday was definitely a fluke but it is what it is...and I am below what I was Sunday so I'll take the loss and move on. Hoping to his 143.8 by next Sunday we will see though. Hope everyone is having a great day!
Syckgirlsfv - I have a fitbit charge 2. I use that to log weight, set goals, see how many calories I burn in a day, how many steps/miles, etc.
I just came back from my "big walk" - when I started I literally had to sit on the bench on the way back and it took me an hour and 40 minutes. Then I cut the time down and I was burning 750 calories. Today we did it in an hour and 20 and I burned 617 with half at cardio, half at fat burning. I do declare I'm getting in better shape!
January
Keep doing it even if it's not consistent.
With practice we become accustomed to less calories.
For instance. My first fasting experience was very difficult day, because first I changed my calories and routine. But secondly I changed the type of food ,
I mean to say my body I very accustomed to eating. Carbs
When started my plan I switched to almost all protein on that day. I didn't drink much water either. So since my body wasn't accustomed to getting fuel from itself. It let my brain know.
Over time as trained my digestive system to digest healthy foods, and my has become more accustomed to burning it's fat reserves as fuel. I believe many of us simply struggle with the transition of . Well speaking only for myself, overeating so much so often that my body wasn't accustomed to burning it's own fat , when my blood is so flooded with fats from eating so many fry ups.
I was watching a video , a segment went into detail about blood fats. The answer is to walk after the last meal for about an hour.
The friction on the muscle tissues the brain senses the muscle particles and an enzyme is released. To signal the body to start to burn it's fat stores.
It's something I kinda always knew. But to watch the before and after results . It finally just clicked for me. If I'm going to train my body to burn it's own fat for fuel I need to walk for an hour after my last meal. That's doable.
To go further. When I started fasting on a regular basis.
I realized I didn't need to walk as much on the fast days, rather make sure I walk on the feed days.
So as put my most fatty foods on Saturday's and Sunday's. I have time to walk.
Sometimes when it's nice outside , my daughter comes along.
That's makes me happy.
We had our ladies meeting at church tonight. I brought a salad w/grilled chicken and also some grapes. I had this along with my dressing and brought me an iced coffee. For some reason, I feel more full than normal. I shouldn't feel like that since this salad was very basic and nothing extra like cheese, croutons, etc. I'm not sure why I felt more full.

Weight has been the same for me. Proufmd that I stayed the same over the weekend and during TOM. H S in his way out in a couple of days so it'll be nice to see a loss on the scale.
Today is doc appointment day and I am nowhere near the goal I had set. I hope he isn't upset with me. I'm proud that I keep trying and I know this will all stick.
I'm also ready to do an enormous grocery shop because a school check came in and my money worries are gone for the moment.
Diana hello, hope all is well you and your family. Sorry I can't keep up with this thread at the moment. Things should calm down next week, maybe I can get back into the habit. I've been doing exercises and stretches in the morning and run out of time to post. I always think of you and remember you in my daily prayers. I don't want to be one who disappears on you!
EmilyLarnder - what kind of exercising are you doing? Have you tried setting goals maybe to reach in 6 months and backtrack to come up with short term goals to increase each week? For me I usually don't feel like going to exercise, I think I'm too tired, or whatever my excuse is, but I force myself and afterwards I'm happy I did. Heck, sometimes just a new outfit can be motivating.
Pang - you motivated me to put more fish in my diet. I had salmon last night and lived to tell the tale. I totally agree with you that every bite we eat impacts our bodies. I'm trying to make each meal, each snack something meaningful, but it also has to taste good. I'm getting into the swing of that now.
Today is my rest day - I work out 3 days, rest day 2 days, rest day. I tend to get injuries when I exercise so I'm really trying to make sure to not over do it. I've worked my way up now to being able to handle an hour a day. One day a week I do interval training and I'm just now not sore - and I was just jogging for 2 minutes, walking for 4. I've never really run in my life before.
Good Morning, Everyone!
kelijpa I was thinking about you, really hard. Maybe that's why you dropped by. I can't keep up with the thread, either. So, I am just doing what I can, while keeping myself accountable.
Vixsin Yay for the check!
