Flower123 I'm curious if you noticed any food sensitivities from the elimination diet? I'm doing it mostly to trick myself into eating healthier without it feeling like a diet.
These words of yours struck a chord, sounding oh so familiar: I slowly over the past 2 years have become lax. The off diet days increasing. The foods I eat increasing. Need to get back in the habit of having food on my mind less of the time. Re-gain discipline rather than weight
Today I finished up an errand and had the usual "time for a treat" feeling, like a conditioned reflex. I said NO to the urge the to eat until I got home & had dinner. It was like re-discovering a muscle group that had atrophied from non-use. Maybe there is a feel-good experience from exercising self-discipline--A variation of the old saying 'virtue is its own reward'
Sending you good thoughts to re-connect with your mojo. I am confident you will succeed.

Diana OMG I bow to you! I am afraid to shop at Whole Foods on Fridays. On Fri, I am in that end-of-week-I-deserve-treats mode and dare not go in that store. It's a minefield of temptation, even w/out samples! Mercifully, WF has reduced their samples a great deal lately. There always used to be some cheese and cheese spreads every day. Now there are usually none.

Magistra Your description of your neighborhood sounds lovely. I love dry weather gardens. WTG with just the smidge of creamer!

BW How's it going?

Everyone Else, Keep up the great work!

Check in
B coffee, cashew milk, protein shake
S tofu/salad roll ups
L chicken, yam salad with homemade dressing. I used evoo, a splash of white wine vinegar, sherry, Dijon mustard.
D ground turkey & braised collard greens
S fried cauli rice, another shake, jicama, marinated beets. I ate too much, but better than I've been doing.

Exercise still minimal pilates. This will start slowly.

It was super hot today. It got up to 104 degrees. But I went walking anyway. My son is still walking with me every day. Today my youngest daughter also joined us. The crepe myrtle trees are in bloom so there are many pink flowers lining the streets. It’s so pretty. Some people cut their trees to make little archways (almost like a tunnel) over the sidewalk. When we walked under these trees we felt more of the heat, which was odd because we expected it to be cooler in the shade. Apparently the little archways provide some insulation.

B: Whole wheat bagel w/butter, raspberries, coffee w/half and half
L: tuna mixed w/mayo, red bell pepper, TJ’s nut mix
S: celery w/peanut butter
D: one slice pepperoni pizza, baby carrots w/ranch dressing, one hot pepper
D: 2 squares mint dark chocolate, mint tea

E: 20 min. walk around the neighborhood

Hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow!

Good Morning, Everyone! Happy weekend!

We are going to a fishing tournament today. I'm not sure where we will eat since it's out of our area and it's a bit remote. But, I am determined to stay on plan or in my calorie range. I will make something positive happen.

Last night I added on: Tamilee Webb's Total Body Stretch (standing)
This Morning: Oxycise Level 2 workout

Calories for yesterday: 1495 +
No Weigh In <--I will start weighing in again on Monday. That will give me a full week of being on plan. I have found that it takes so much longer to get off one off plan day than it used to.

Sundove Good job working your way back into an exercise routine.

Magistra Do you have a lot of humidity in the air there? Does the 104 feel like 104 or 120? Yesterday was awful for us. I think it was close to 100 but the air was completely saturated, but no rain. DH's family came down from CT to visit one year and stayed in their camper on our property. We warned them about the heat and humidity. They couldn't believe that it could be 100% humidity without rain and argued with us about it. Then they saw the weather forecast and it confirmed what we said.

Ciecie Have a good day. Good luck getting it all done.

Have a wonderful day!

Hi Gang!

Glad all is well, ciecie!

It was way, way too hot and humid to make my chicken soup! So sick of grilled food already... And it was so hot... Wait for it... That the family did NOT want dinner!!! Yes, it was Too Hot to Eat!!!

My DH even went to the store with DD, got a whole lot of salad fixings, and there they were, languishing on the kitchen counter at 8 PM at night! He was all, "I'm going to bed". I'm all, "What anything? Anyone?" Nope. Bed! (And yes, we have air conditioning!)

Well, when/if I eat, I'll let you know what! LOL!

Did not need yesterday!

Hello everybody!

I am new to this great forum.
I have lost 11 kg so far and I would like to lose another 25-26 kg. I am on a not very strict calorie-counting, my aim is ~1700 kcal/day and as of today , I eat 7 small meals/day.

For today:
- 100 ml probiotic yoghurt and 1 tablespoon of linseed
- 1 boiled egg and 1 plum, coffee with milk
- 1 small sea bream, broccoli, ~15 g parmesan
- 1 snack made of almonds and dried apples (280 kcal)
- 2 boiled eggs
- salmon with cucumbers and cherry tomatoes
- 2 large nectarines

Exercise: none
Movement: grocery shopping, bathroom cleaning, 1 hour of moderate-pace walking.

Hey All, Happy Weekend) Welcome Eni! Good luck with your plan. I am keeping it "low" today. Trying to catch up on some rest and planning for August which will be OVERFLOWING with stuff...Let's see, I have on call duties in addition to my regular social work duties, leadership training out of town, a sorority planning retreat, a wedding for one of the girls that I mentor. I believe I will be a hostess at the reception. She is 31 and I am 52..okay..sure). Also, my son will need my support (aka listening ear) as he tries to finish his final courses for graduate school. I will try to answer the phone Hahahahaha! Soooooo I need to have my stuff in order before then. I weighed today and am back to my 5 pounds lost since I started. Yay and ok, let's make a little more momentum before August! I walked 3 days this week and the verdict is out regarding walking later today. My sister and I are still supporting each other with our health strides although she will go back to work in August and won't have the free time she has now. We are devising a plan for both of us.. CieCie, glad your Dad is home. Diana, so true about taking a long time to undo off plan eating.....Inkrid!!! Go "head" with your bad self! No willpower dust needed yesterday. Keep it going, you are on a roll))))) Have a great evening everyone.

Hi Everyone!

We had a fun day. Before I got ready to leave to watch the fishing tournament, I went to a nearby neighborhood and did a 30 minute walk. It felt pretty intense since the actual temperatures were close to 100.

Ciecie I'm glad your Dad is back home.

Inkrid Too hot to eat? That's unheard of. I hope today is cooler for your area. We were close to 100 and it's was pretty miserable with all of the humidity.

Eni Hi and welcome to the check-in. Congrats on your weight loss so far.

Terry You will be a busy girl! Sounds like a lot of exciting things going on .

Waving Hi all around! Enjoy your evening!
