Nichols and Thousands. It's so great to see you making your escape...very encouraging to know it's possible. I've been stuck here for so long, I think I lost hope.

Nichols. I like how you list out your goals and the deadline for meeting them. I'm going to make goals for myself as well and post them...it will make me accountable for reaching them.

SenseandSensibility. I count calories as I like the control it gives me. I eat a moderate breakfast, veggies/fruit/greek yogurt for snacks, salad most days for lunch until I tire of them and a smoothie for dinner. I like any kind of veggie. I like apples, blueberries and bananas mainly, but I eat other fruit in the summer.

@Seprrigo: Don't lose hope! You got this! I count calories too, almost to a fault, I'm on a 1200 calorie plan, with IF it means I usually eat about 420 for lunch and then spend the rest on dinner and snacks. It took getting used to but it works for me with the results I want to see.

As for me! I saw 139 this morning! It bounced between 138 and 140 before settling on 139 so I'll do what I always do and wait a day or so BUT I think I'm out of here soon! I haven't seen a 1-3-X in my weight in... Sheesh, I don't even remember. Maybe middle school? This is exciting. Just have to focus on toning more. I see a weight difference in numbers but when I look in the mirror... I don't know. Not yet, you know? It's hard for me to SEE a difference even though I know it's there. Oh well, time to adjust some goals and hit the weights!

Thousands, way to go! You crossed the line and made it to the other side! What is IF btw?

I finally created some goals for myself. I plan on losing 4 lbs per month. I'll have a healthy BMI at 145 lbs, so that's my target for February.

Next Goal - 149 by Feb 6th
Mini Goal - 145 by Feb 28th
Mini Goal - 141 by Mar 31st
Mini Goal - 137 by April 30th
Mini Goal - 133 by May 31st
Goal - 132 by June 7th

IF is short for intermittent fasting. Some people do it every other day, or a few days per week, (you'll see numbers like 5:8) and I do 16:8. Where I only eat between 12pm and 8pm (usually, 1pm to 7pm with my crazy hours.)

A typical day looks like coffee when I wake up, then the gym, and then lunch is a big salad with a protein like chicken, steak, or shrimp. Dinner is generally a protein and a veg, but since I am Keto it's a bit fattier. So, chicken thighs and not beasts or creamed spinach instead of steamed broccoli.

All in all, I'm pretty full through the day. Sometimes, it's a green tea at 10am day, but usually water will do it!

Awesome on your goals! I hope you hit the first one soon!

@Thousandsunny

Way to go that's awesome!!! Can't wait for all of us to join you!!! I always get impatient during weigh ins while you wait for it to "settle". Feels like a game show... "And the winner is..."! What would you say your rate of loss has been in the 140's? I'm hoping for a half a pound a week myself. Wouldn't cry if it came off faster though XD. In the beginning it was about a pound a week, but I was bigger then.

I hear you on the "not" seeing it. It took me a year before my brain could adjust to the smaller me. I really think it's a psychological thing, I wonder if there are studies on it? I mean, I was used to taking up a certain amount of space. You walk different, sit different, interact with your world different because you're used to totally different dimensions. It's the same with height, why my husband as a teen bumped his knees and head in everything during his growth spurt.

Now that I've adjusted, it also took me several months to realize the 10 ish pounds I had put back on, cause I got used to the 130's. Only now am I looking in the mirror and "seeing" those extra pounds. It's crazy, I wish my brain could process faster XD.

@SenseAndSensability: I hear you. I look in the mirror and I swear I can see every bit I gain but never what I lose! I find myself worrying about going through turnstiles or sitting in subway seats still.

I'd say I've lost about a pound to a pound a half a week. I eat around 1200 a day and burn about 250 a day in the gym consistently. But that's with a few gains and losses in there (and one horrific week of the Norwalk virus. Ugh.)

Thousand: WTG Girl you are doing absolutely amazing! Looks like I’ll be following you eventually.
Sense: I am close to your height. The difference of 146 and 130 is insane especially in someone who is 5’1 or 5’2…I did about the same thing as you. I got down to 131 and slowly started gaining some… I could see it in my face…arms…stomach…legs so quickly. Both of us will be out of the 140s before we know it.
Sperrigo: Welcome to the 140s!

My weight has been doing some crazy things. It bounced up from 141 to 143 yesterday…and then 144.0 today. I’m eating the same..working out about the same. But I checked my weight tonight and tomorrow should be a lower weight….hopefully! I’ll get to the 130s sooner or later.

Hope to see you soon Thousand!

Weigh in this morning 142.8. Really hoping these 3 lbs come off quick. I am tired of being in the 140s.

So fantastic to hear! Can't wait for us all to join you Thousandsunny in the 130's!

Today is my weigh day ! I've decided on once a week for now on Fridays in the morning, usually after breakfast. ?I know, do it naked after peeing on an empty stomach XD. But if I alwsys do it the same it shouldn't make that big a difference since most of us fluctuate about five pounds during the day).

I had some mild panic this morning though, I must say! Last Friday I weighed in at 145.9 something (I always just round up to the higher whole number and say 146 to myself) and after this week of being totally on plan I weighed today and it said 148.3 and I was like, how on earth!!! What have I done??? But then it said error, freaked out and I got off and did it again and it was 145.0. I then weighed two more times to be sure XD. It was indeed 145. Which is much better and on target for how much I'm expecting to loose!

Good job losing .9 lbs Sense.

Weight this morning was the same as yesterday. 142.8. If I was going by my week to week weigh ins...I had only lost .4 lbs within one week. It is what it is...and a loss is a loss. Just seems like I'm struggling getting out of the 140's..which is unusual because I seem to drop pretty quickly the last go about getting out of the 140s. Oh well. Hoping to see better results next week!

On the positive - It's Friday! Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning!

Sense Your scale was just playing with your mind...glad it admitted its error. Good job on the loss!

Nichols I was reading a weightloss story the other day. The girl said she changed up her eating and exercising regularly to achieve a more consistent loss. I'm going to try it as I hit plateaus all the time. Good job on your loss too!

Is there a 130's group or is the Featherweights group next?
