Yay! Finally, the scale nudges downward almost to where I was before I hurt myself. 173.8 this morning. Looking toward a bit of a rougher weekend foodwise as I am headed to the midwest to spend the weekend with family and friends to celebrate my son and daughter-in-law's first little one. It's all about making the good choices...so here we go!

Hi everyone! I lost some weight a couple years ago. I stayed steady and comfortable at the bottom of the overweight area for my height for a couple of years now.

I've been getting serious about finishing what I started over the past couple of weeks. Yesterday I finally made it out of the out of the 180's and to a normal BMI and this morning! So excited! Using a weight tracker app has been extremely motivating. I'm at the lightest I've ever been as an adult and it feels amazing!

I'm hoping by staying accountable here will help get me out of the 170's so I can start maintaining somewhere in the mid - high 160's.

I'm starting off at 178.6.

I am in no rush since it's the last 10 pounds, but I'm hoping to never see the 180's again. It has always been tough for me getting out of the decades.

Good luck to everyone that's trying to get out of the 170's. We can do it!

Way to go! I'm so happy for you! It can be tough to lose or even maintain being around family and all of the great food!

Jasmine, I agree, the weight tracker apps are very motivating for me as well! Congrats on being in the 170's. We CAN conquer this!

My weight loss has really slowed down over the past month or maybe I have just gotten a little more lax about losing. The bigger point is I am still losing in spite of springtime events and parties. I have found it easier to stay away from carbs and sweets which is a big change from my past behavior so maybe I have moved more toward a different style of eating. Here's to that permanent eating change!

Weight this morning is at 171.6. However, it could be another 2-3 weeks before I leave this thread at the rate I am losing.

Sheila

Congratulations sheilaE! I'm so happy for you!!!!

Over the past month I've been incorporating kettlebells in my routine and I LOVE them!

My weight has remained steady between 177 - 180, but I'm getting firmer and losing inches!

Getting out of the 170's might take me all year at this rate, but I'm okay with it. I'm not willing to eat less or workout more, so I'm going to enjoy the ride.

Just one week into trying to lose weight and feeling a bit demotivated. I started at 174 pounds and have lost 1.75 pounds. I've cut out junk food altogether so feeling a bit sorry for myself that I've lost so little. I know from trying before that my body takes about a month to let go of weight so trying to keep myself psyched!

Please hang in there. That is fantastic! I have been through this before and I can tell you that in 3 months you would not believe how much you achieved! Slow and steady wins the race! We can do this!

HI all
It is encouraging to find this thread on here,I too need out of 170's. I was 173 before heading to a relaxing Memorial day weekend last week but then was up to 177 today back down to 175.I signed up for a 50k in October,I did the race /trail run 3 yrs ago at 163lbs so I would be happy to get back to that. I upped my running this week and am at 2.5 miles consistently .I get stressed and tired then binge eat. I really need to find something at those moments to do other than obsessively eat.
Best wishes to you all this weekend
