Ok I just posted this long intro but now it's gone! No idea what happened but to sum it up. I used to be on here years ago. Started at 226 and got down to 190. Gained it all back plus some. Was 245 8weeks ago and now I'm at 228. So I'm here again. Just wanted to say hi and congratulations to all those who have made amazing progress!

Congratulations on starting over!

Never fun to regain weight, I know. I lost, regained, lost, regained, lost, regained, etc., etc., for many years. It wasn't until 2011, the year I turned 40, that I'd simply had enough.

I know it's tough starting over when you're at a higher weight than you were when you originally started - but you gotta do it!

Welcome Back Curvycurly! Been there, done that. So understand. I've heard this so many times here. But as my daughter always tells me when I lament about starting over- MOM! What would you weigh if you had never dieted- never started over?? Yep- I doubt I'd be alive. %' 1/2 " here would die at 400+ pounds. So big rewards for coming back. Guess we both still have lessons to learn.

I'm doing exactly the same thing.

It's a slog losing the same weight again -- all of the fun and excitement are gone from it and I feel like I'm just retreading a path I didn't have the sense to stay on the first (or second!) time.

Looks like you've made amazing progress in the past 8 weeks. Keep up the good work!

Hi curvycurly. It is so common to gain back what is lost. I have done it numerous times. Lose 50. Gain 60.... Lose a hundred...... Well it sure is a challenge.

The great thing is you have already lost more than 15 in the past 8 weeks. Big progress. Congrats! Really glad to meet you.

Hi curvycurly I'm also back here after a break of years and trying to relose what this site helped be to lose in the past. This time I am trying to be realistic and also sort out my head and choices to make things last forever. I'm being kinder to myself and more realistic.

Lost 3lb in week one, when I started the week looking like I was going to have a huge whoossh. Was feeling disappointed until I reminded myself my mantra that this si forever and 3lb at a time will do just nicely!

Good luck with your journey, I look forward to following it

I am also back after a break of 6 months and an additional 13 pounds. Summer is the best time for weight loss
