No More Timed Goals
No timed goal or number on a scale ever made me calm or confident. I've decided to give up trying to reach a certain number by a certain day. To celebrate each loss and to learn if I come to a point where I don't lose. Would I like to be somewhere under 139 by the time I'm 65 (4/6/16)? Of course I would, but at my age- every day is too precious to fret about numbers on a scale. Each day is to be relished with joy and the more I lose, the healthier I get, the more activity and fun I can bring into my life to up the joy level. Number goals don't do that for me. Numbers let me know I'm on the right tract towards health -or they let me know I need another change to move forward.
How about you? In the picture below I have no idea what I weighed -it was over a decade ago- visiting my son stationed in Washington State. I felt calm and confident that beautiful day where we came across my favorite garden of all time on a road detour. Don't you love detours?
