January is nearly over

Fluffy - I wouldn't worry too much, 1 day is a blip.

I told my husband to buy me citrus fruit and boy did he clementines, tangerines and mineolos

And I was excited to get my stitches out today except my appointment got cancelled. We really didn't get much snow overnight, most of it came last night but the doc office had an automated message that called me this morning. I'll have to call them when they open to reschedule. Although those are my external stitches, they said the internal ones can still take a couple weeks to heal completely. I just hate the felling of reaching for something and feeling my stitches pull. But I'll get them out soon enough.

B - banana, tangerine, 3 brazilnuts

Hello everyone, been really busy lately and haven't had much time to read or post. My weight was up 2 lbs on Saturday when I weighed. I knew this would happen due to all of the eating out last week. This week I plan to reel that in a little bit. This week I decided to change up my fast a little. I will go to a 19:5 fasting/eating window to see how that works out. Yesterday went pretty well and I know that's partly because I was busy at work. We'll see how it works out today as this should be a slow day for me at work.

Nelie that really sucks about the stitches in longer, it sounds uncomfortable that you can feel them pull.

Northern I sure hope you are feeling better today.

Flower I crave chocolate just about everyday. If actually started early for me this morning, which is unusual because the craving don't usually kick in until after dinner.

Diana and Flower my laptop JUST came out of warranty, like 3 weeks ago! I bought it a year ago, January 3rd. I'm going to try to see if Toshiba will do something about it, since it's just the fan.

ohclementine yeah Vegas baby! LOL I am a Vegas junkie, I swear. It's my favorite place and it's pretty close to So Cal so we can drive. I was just there December 15th, and I was going to wait to go back until June, but DH had last minute trade shows to go to and one of them I've been to a few times and enjoy, so I'm going with him to that one!

Everybody hi!

B - baked potato/cottage cheese
L - frozen natural chicken burrito from Costco
S - no, trying to downsize! LOL
D - I have to decide...still just me at home, DH won't be home until tomorrow

I'm going to ride my bike a short quick one tonight - DH made me promise not to go very far while he isn't here. 11 miles or so.

Maybe we should just make this an end of January/February thread. Only few days left.

If I want to make it to the gym tonight I have to go right away before DH goes to band practice. He has another practice tomorrow night too. I'm not sure I'll make it with enough time. :/ His band stuff is cramping my lifestyle.

Diana, Thanks for the new thread and the old thread! I hope you're having a great day despite TTOM

Fluffypuppy, I feel for you on the binging monster, it's something I also struggle with. I haven't had a really bad one since Christmas but I spent my entire life and specifically the last two years coming to grips with my binge eating, and how it's harming me. When your brain is wired to binge and associate food emotionally (which mine is) dieting/changing your eating can be agonizing, which most people who have normal relationships to food don't understand. Something that has been helping me is to try to recognize why I want to binge, am I sad, bored, lonely, angry? These have all been excuses I've used to destroy my body/progress. Then I drink a glass of water because I'm sure you know that sometimes thirst pains feel just like hunger pains. And I try to distract myself by looking at other's weight loss success stories, reading, painting and working. Over the last month the cravings to binge have lessened. I know that you can do this and take control. Take it one day at a time. Every day you check in here and acknowledge your eating habits is a win and you should feel proud of yourself, you ARE going in the right direction!

Flower123, Thanks, it's nice to know I'm not alone! It ended up not being too bad I had a seared ahi tuna salad, though I noticed that my partner's parents kept trying to get me to eat more... Specifically his dad, who is also dieting but ordered a huge deep fried seafood platter, kept offering me onion rings and to get me a beer. Why is one "no thanks" not enough?

NovaAngel, CONGRATS! What a great feeling on the loose jeans!

Nelie, Sorry about your Dr's appointment

Coolmom, Lemon bars? STAHHHP! Yum. Can you be my coolmom? Lmao!!!

WOW, I cannot believe this month is almost over. It has absolutely flown by. I stayed on track yesterday. The oatmeal pancakes were so filling I ended up skipping lunch and just having carrots for lunch. Dinner was actually EASY! I made a deal the last time I ate out and ordered something horrible that I would only eat simple salads at restaurants from now on so I don't give myself the option to stray.

This morning I did another new Jillian workout (it's all the same program she increased intensity every two weeks and I just stepped up) and I am still feeling very overwhelmed. I feel too fat to do lunges/planks, is that possible? I don't want to injure myself but part of me thinks I might be overthinking it. I did as much as I could and tried to push myself without injuring. Tomorrow is cardio which strangely I am looking forward to since its familiar and I know I can do it even if I feel like I'm dying.

Hope everyone is having a great and on plan day!

W- 201.4 <-- Oh wonderland, I wanna be in you!
B- Spinach, banana, almond, mango, soy milk smoothie. Coffee with almond milk and raw sugar
S- Carrots
L- Mega berry Spinach Salad with Spicy Mustard Balsamic Dressing
S- Benito chips + hummus if I get around to making it
D - Turkey Meatloaf, roasted Brussels sprouts

Syckgirlsfv, That is so awesome! I've only been once with my Grandma who has a timeshare there and goes a couple times a year (she's a 75 year old wild woman who loves to gamble). I'd love to go back even though I never win money gambling. I love the aesthetic of Vegas! People watching and getting lost exploring endless casinos, ah good times. Have fun and great weather! Maybe you will win big and can replace your laptop!

Oh clementine--I know. Don't you love it when people try to push food o you? Ugh. Good for you for resisting. Thanks for the relating re binging. It has been a problem for me for like 25 years. You'd think I would have learned something by now but I guess the instant gratification takes precedence over the regret.

Novangel--hope you got to the gym. What kind of band does your husband play in?

Syckgirlsfv--good luck with the lap top. Did you have stuff backed up?

ShaMac--good luck with the 19:5. That should produce results.

Nelie--thanks for the words of encouragement. I hope you get the stitches out pronto. Any idea how long you'll have to wait?

Yesterday: binge day
This morning: 148.0 up 1.8
Today: bowl of Cheerios with milk 200

I'm at my folks in the suburbs today. Harder to control the eating cuz my mom wants to plan good "round" meals. Rehearsal tonight. Hope it goes better than last week. I have been practicing a lot but there is only so much I can do in isolation.

Too many.

He's currently in 3 bands, one is original rock and 2 are tributes. The 2 tributes are for DIO and Queensryche. Draws an older audience but very fun...at times.

Up 0.8lbs to 172.4lbs.

Breakfast was pilchards, smoked oysters and oats.

For lunch, I had fried fish, smoked oysters, squid and anchovies.

For exercise, I did 60 minutes boxing before work and ran 4 miles before lunch.

Hi Everyone!

I felt really rough today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I waiting for DH to finish some stuff so I'll check in here.

Nelie I'm glad the weather wasn't too bad there and you DH could get out. Hopefully things don't get bad. Enjoy the citrus.

Fluffypuppy Just keep trying. Good luck with eating at your parent's house.

Flower Good job on your weigh in. I hope things continue to improve with getting back on track. Take it one day at a time. When it's really rough, one meal at a time. Well, I called it hardwired. Maybe that's not the right term. There is power going to the unit and it has a battery back-up. It has a little connector for you to unplug it. Here's another thing to learn, from my experience. Check your batteries. We had replaced the batteries in these units not long ago. I looked at my stash of batteries and the 9V''s are all expired or the expiration date it 3/15. I bought new batteries and replaced the one in the unit and all is well, again.

Finch Sorry about the bad weather. Hopefully it will improve so you can get out.

Shamac Good luck with your new fast plan.

Syckgirlsfv
I'm sorry about your Vega trip. Now you really have something to look forward to in June.

Novangel
Did you make it to the gym?

Ohclementine
I love cardio, too, and can do it no matter what. Good luck and hope you get to Onderland soon!

Ian Are you still enjoying the boxing? I could do boxing/kickboxing every day!

Waving Hi all around!

syckgirlsfv that really sucks, I know how heartbreaking that can be when you are all set to go.

Diana I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Fluffypuppy I hope you are enjoying spending time with you folks.

Diana, I'm sorry about the rough day. I hope you get to relax at home soon.

Syckgirl, That is sad news for you! I hope something else comes up and another trip to Vegas is in your near future.

Flower, I was having a hard time around the holidays too (as I think a lot of us did) and it is hard to detox back to healthy eating. Like Diana wrote, one day or meal at a time. good job white knuckling back.

Ohclementine, luckily the lemon bars are GONE. That's a good idea about only salads at restaurants. I've kinda been doing that except the addition of wine and an appetizer didn't help.

w 163.?
B lemon bar
L sandwich
D veg and sausage

total calories 1337
