Hi, Sarah42 and guac! Welcome to our little 150's group.
Still hanging around the mid 150's these past few days. Yesterday was 154.4 and today, 155.0.
I found a sliced whole wheat bread that is only 45 calories a slice (Pepperidge Farms Light) instead of 100 calories and was trying to have some bread back in my diet. But, I think I may need to do salad at dinner and eliminate the bread/grains to see any movement down, again.
I've been at 154.0 the past few days, but I'll take it! I was stuck at 157 for about 3 weeks. I hate the whole cycle thing - I don't expect to hit a low again for 3.5 more weeks. :-(
I finally saw a small dip in the scale! 153.8! Yesterday, I was pretty low in calories though - 1030. Most days I have around 1200-1300. I guess the variation in calories helped!
Hi guys, thought I'd pop into this thread with my fellow 150-ers. I'm at 157 now (started my weight loss efforts earlier this month at a lifetime high of 162.5).
I hope it won't be too long before we're all in the 140's thread.
Hi everyone, it's been a while since I have posted. I have been at my current weight of 155 for the last couple months. I haven't been doing the best with sticking to eating and exercising as I know I can as I did it before. I am trying to find the motivation to get going again and figured coming back to the forums was a good way to start.
Welcome, Chunkah and Raining! This decade is going in spurts for me - dropped to 157 pretty fast, then stayed at 157 for awhile. Then dropped to 154 suddenly. Craziness.
Down a pound to 156! I'm relieved my weight is going down. When I first posted in this thread, I feared my drop into the 150s was just a blip and I'd go up again in a few days. That happened to me before, dropping to 158 then finding myself right back at my starting weight of 162. That was before I was consistent with exercise and diet though, so hopefully it'll be a steady drop from now on, with only the occasional brief bump back up a couple pounds.
Hi, Raining! This forum has helped my motivation, so I hope returning does the trick for you too.
2 kids - Congrats on the loss! I often lose in spurts like that too. It can make daily weighing less fun, since most times won't show a loss, but the whoosh days are pretty exciting.

Hi Chukah, Raining, and hepzibah! Glad to see more people in the thread!
I am staying below 155 so far this holiday weekend. Probably won't see a drop until we are back home and on our regular schedule. I have been keeping my calories low, but the grains/starches are sneaking in more than usual. Looks like I will be in the 150's for a while.
Hi! I am glad this thread seems to have had new life breathed into it since the last time I was on this forum! OK, so I was on here a year ago and had lost 20 pounds and was feeling good, and then some bad crap happened in my life and I gained most of it back...so here I am again for weightloss round 2! I am currently at 154.2, down from 157! The ULTIMATE goal is 115-110, depending on how I look/feel. I have a wedding in the Bahamas I am attending on Aug. 22, so honestly, I am trying to slim down as much as possible for that as well! I bought a bikini that is slightly too small for me as inspiration! You are all doing great! I am excited to share my journey with you!
Hi kahaney! Welcome to the 150's thread. Sorry to hear about your difficulties and gain, but glad you are back on track. Hope you are able to fit into that bikini and look wonderful for the wedding in August!
I am glad to be back home and now I can buckle down on my eating. Weight has crept back up to 156.
Hello again, all! I'm currently at 157. Was pretty loose with my eating over the holiday weekend - nothing crazy though - and didn't do any cardio. I went up a couple pounds, most likely water weight. It's already coming back down.
I think at my current pace, I probably will be in this thread until August.
Then it'll be time for the 140s Houdini escape.
I understand those of you who have regained! I lost and maintained 50 pounds for about 5 years. It's been 2 years now that I've let my weight climb back up. I feel like I lost touch with my body's reality for a while! It feels good to be grounded and committed to health again.
Chunkah - the longer I am trying to eat to lose, the more I think you need to take breaks now and then. It is hard work to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Everything is a conscious decision. Sometimes the mind just needs to take a break from it. Now that you are off "break", I hope you are able to achieve your goals!
Yesterday I was careful with my calories and weight has gone back down to 154.5 this morning. Phew!
Chunkah Now that you are off "break", I hope you are able to achieve your goals!
Thanks, Kat!
It's kinda scary how easily the regain happens when I drop some key healthy habits. With me, I MUST do some form of cardio daily and also weigh daily. That's what keeps me feeling healthy and accountable, and making the choices I need to consistently.
Glad to hear your weight dropped! Mine's still half a pound above where I was before this weekend. I'm figuring I'll be back there within a few days. I'm definitely gonna do some form of exercise this weekend though. I've learned from my lazy (but fun ) mistake last weekend!
