September 2014 - Daily Accountability/Lifestyle Change - Everyone Welcome!
Hello Everyone! Welcome to the Check-In! Let's make it a great month!
I want to welcome everyone to the Daily Accountability Check-In. Our goal is to stay accountable and on track by posting our daily food and exercise choices. All food and exercise programs are welcome. Consistency is the key to reaching our weight loss goals.
Introduce yourself or jump right in and tell us what you have been doing.
Does anyone here rent movies from RedBox? When we would watch something in the past, I would run out to Blockbuster. I miss the good ol days. Anyways at the grocery store today, no one was at the RedBox machine, so I took a look. I noticed that you can swipe your credit card for payment. I am totally unfamiliar with the whole process. I looked at the website but still wanted to get others opinions. Do you have to register online? Is it as simple as picking out a movie, swiping your card, and then returning it the next day? Are there any issues with the return process?
I know I've been MIA but with good reason. I've been swamped with not only edits but also with company and getting kids back to school (along with my oldest starting college.) Absolute pandemonium.
Good news is despite it all I've kept on track and am still consistently loosing weight. At my weigh in on Thursday, I finally broke the 200 mark and made my first mini-goal! (Wanted to be under 200 lbs before my trip in October.) So I'm on track.
And I promise, now that stuff has settled down I won't be a stranger. Will check in tonight after the cook out. We'll see how I do.
Grocery shopping and menu planning, and roasted vegetables are going to happen again. Yum! Chili should be good but hubby's pick of enchiladas will be problematic. I'll have to abstain altogether with that one.
Breakfast was sardines, smoked kippers, medium stickleback, scrambled egg and smoked oysters with a bowl of oats. Lunch was my usual with Spanish mackerel, mussels, octopus, squid, smoked oysters and a crab cake.
For exercise I ran 3.5 miles before breakfast and did 50 minutes weight training before lunch.
Down to 191.0 today. Over cals a bit yesterday. On track today, will see how I do after the BBQ with friends that we're hosting. I'll try to post the damages tomorrow. ;-)
IdealProteinNewbie Thank you for the info. Sometimes I think I've gotten too old and I can't keep up with things, . Now I just need to figure out a good movie and find the time to actually watch one.
DakotaTrace Welcome back! Congrats on Onederland!
Novangel I hope it wasn't a rough weekend in a bad way. I'm hoping you had a too much fun stuff going on.
CoolMom Enchiladas would be tough for me, too. Good luck with your procedure tomorrow.
Ian Did your gym make many chances while being closed?
Ian Did your gym make many chances while being closed?
lmao.
This is the weirdest thing about gyms closing for "maintenance". They close for a couple of weeks, you go back, and the only thing you find different is a few bits of equipment in different places that you preferred were put back as they were!
I swear it's just for the gym staff to kick back for a week or two!
Our gym is closed next week for maintanance, but it is also the local public pool so they drain, clean, etc.
I have to drink 96oz of Gatorade today and it is 400 calories of sugar. Blech! I'd rather have my sugar in chocolate. Heh. Let's hope I don't go hog wild when I can eat dinner tomorrow!
Oh! I forgot to mention our good times at the grocery store today. The car wouldn't start and we had to buy a cooler and ice for the groceries while the tow truck came. The connector to the battery had eroded so much it cracked. We tried to jump start and it wouldn't work but the tow truck guy was able to get it started. We drove home and hubby replaced the clamp thing, no problem. An adventure! Luckily a cheap one.
