Default Positivity Train

Alright, weight loss buddies, I wanted to make a thread for daily accountability that focused on POSITIVITY.

I know many of us work or go to school (or both) and sometimes you just need a place to come and see something uplifting. The gist of my thread is this –

Every single day, come in and post something that you’re proud of yourself for doing that day (health related). It can be anything, from a good weigh in result to saying “no” to the extra slice of pizza. I don’t care if it’s big or small, if it made you proud of yourself, please share it!

I ask that everyone come in and share at least one positive, ‘proud of yourself’ thing – but I want to stress that sharing multiple things is awesome, too.

I work a desk job, 9-5, so I think this thread will come in handy for me!

Today I'm proud of myself for having my lunch prepared and not eating out! It's not always easy, but I did it today.

Today I'm proud of myself for not having that cupcake for dessert since I had one earlier.

I'll hop on this train. My triumph today is food-related: I was SO TIRED after work but didn't cave to delivery and instead made fish along with green beans from the weekend farmer's market. It was nutritious and guess what- delicious! So glad I put myself first with a little tough love.

Well, this is technically from last night, but I'm proud of myself for not giving in and buying those Oreo Cream Filled Chips Ahoy cookies. I carried them around and then put them back on the shelf.

Love this thread! I woke up to a new low on the scale because I haven't been eating at night. I have less than 50 pounds to go to my goal and as a person who has been obese since jr. high that is awesome. Some days are not great, but overall I can be proud of how far I've come.

I have to fight the tendency of stinkin' thinkin' to give up because I'm not progressing. As long as I am still moving and watching what I put in my mouth then I am progressing no matter what the scale says.

No, it doesn't have to be food, it can be anything that made you happy in your journey to better overall health!

Thanks for inspiring me this morning! You're doing such a great job! I feel like I have forever to go right now, since I'm at the beginning of this, but stories like yours make me wanna fight!

I took a short walk yesterday and did about 10 minutes of lifting. Its not much, but its more than I have been doing. I've been struggling with finding the motivation to exercise.

I'm proud of myself today for going to town and not getting the hungry feeling. I think if i did get the hungry feeling i would have found something to eat. Usually when i go to town i get the hungry feeling. So today i just went to town, did all my jobs (4 things) and came straight home.
