Feeling a little bloated and am in between 166-167. I'll increase the water intake and do a little yoga!

Hey everyone! Not much going on here but I wanted to check in just to report where I'm starting off on my 'back to school' challenge. As it's about 7 weeks to Halloween I'm challenging myself to lose 7lbs by then, so I hope to be about 158. Lost a pound since last Monday so...hopefully!!!

That sounds like a wonderful goal!! I'm sure you'll reach it in no time

I had a pretty stressful week last week and didn't feel like I was eating at my best but stepped on the scale this morning and it almost stopped at 164!! Ends up I'm at 165.2/165.0 but I'm still happy that I'm almost past 165.
I won't be too hard on the numbers this week since TOM is coming for a visit soon and I don't want to feel discouraged...

Thank you muguet! Is the scale behaving now?

Things are ticking along nicely here, TOM is a few weeks away, the kids are back at school, the gym has new classes...so far September is going well!!

How is everyone else?

Hi Jenny!!

Nope, the scale is not having it since that glimpse of 164! I'm super bloated and hangry and TOM is due tomorrow so I'm trying not to obsess. Any tips on water weight? Feels like that's an issue right now and I honestly tried drinking a lot of water but I still feel swollen and bloated

Happy to hear you're in the zone!! What gym classes are you taking? Take care and hope the kids had a great back to school

Thank you muguet! I am pretty lucky with my kids, my two youngest love school but my eldest, who is now 8 is putting up a bit of a fight in the mornings, any advice would be welcome!

Water weight is such a pain, as if the TOM itself wasn't enough of one. I've read that eating lots of water based food helps too, so I no try to eat more foods like watermelon and cucumber around TOM, probably no alcohol. This article might have some tips

Its for people on phentermine but the idea is the same.

I lost 1.3 lbs this week just gone, sooo close now to 100lbs lost and very motivated about reaching it very soon!!!

The new classes are the same as I was doing before but with new moves and music, they have the new sets every 3 months I think. I do yoga, light kickboxing, weightlifting class, and dance. I don't do them all every week, but I try and get to 3 classes at least if I can.

Well, no net gain or loss last week. Went up, went back down to 164.2. Better than a net gain. Part it it was probably TOM.

Today I woke up and was 163.4, which is nice.

I'm getting antsy staying in the 160s. I'm ready to move on.

Hope everyone's doing well!

Just checking in. Still hanging around 166-168 the past 2 weeks. My weight always stalls for a few weeks then I'll drop a few pounds.

I'm creating a new goal for myself, to start consistently exercising and toning up and see where that takes the scale Nov. 1st.

160s still feel really good for me because I was 170-180s for a long time. But I definitely don't want to creep back up again! Ultimately I want to be around 140 and I'm thinking next year I will reach my goal

Jenny!!! An early congrats to you!!!
I'm sorry about the late reply, but thank you for that link, I'll remember the tips for next month!

I'm afraid I don't have any good advice to give for your 8 year old...all I know is that for some people putting a timer on motivates their kids to get going before it rings. The whole family has to participate and I hear it's a lot of fun! (ex. make your bed in 2 min, pack your bag in 3, first one to win gets a sticker, or some other small reward).

Also your classes seem amazing, I should really look into something similar!

LiannaKole just been there! hang on, I'm sure it's just water weight! Check out the link Jenny posted

rachelinala Nov. 1 sounds like a great goal!! Hopefully we'll all be in the 150s thread by then

Thank you muguet!!!

Hope some of the tips in the article help you and LiannaKole next time the TOM rolls round.

That is a great idea about timing my son, he is very competitive so this will be perfect for him, thank you! I will report back later in the week to let you know how it works out.

rachelinala, sounds like you have your loss routine figured out, but I agree, with some decades I was there for months and I worried about getting stuck, but there were also a lot of the same people in my position so I think some decades are harder to get out of than others. It doesn't really make sense but that's how it seems. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, congrats on sticking in the 160s but, maybe this decade will be a little easier than the ones before. Here's hoping!

162.8 today. Slowly going down. I'll take slow so long as it's progress.

jennybutler357: Wow, almost 100 lbs gone! Congrats on being so close!
And I'll check out that link.

muguet: Yeah, it's water weight. My body sometimes clings to it like it's in a draught. But it psychs me out sometimes. Even when I KNOW it's water weight, or that after losing for a few days my body goes up or stays still for several days. ~sigh~

Christine 165!! that's exciting Good luck and keep up whatever you're doing!

LiannaKole Yeah, it's a pain. I have my moments where I see the numbers go up and even though I know it's just water weight, I'm still discouraged! Hope everything is back to normal soon!

Jenny Glad to hear the tip might be useful for you!! Hopefully he finds something that gets him excited to leave in the morning

I'm down at 163.8 today! I've had a good food week but I'm not happy that I skipped breakfast for three days. I've been feeling extremely bloated in the morning and just could not eat anything, which is very odd for me. I seem to be somewhat back to normal so we'll see what next week brings! Can not wait to be out of this decade~

My scale said 162.2 this morning, and then I had a BM like 10 minutes later, so I figured I'd weigh again. I was 161.4, which was awesome. So, I'm counting the 161.4 as my weight today. Hopefully it sticks for tomorrow.

Does anyone else get times in their menstrual cycle where they're uninterested in food for the most part? Like, where cravings aren't an issue really? I get that for maybe a week sometimes during my cycle. Then I get two weeks or so where cravings and hunger is way more of a problem. I like the non-craving times so much better!
