Good morning all,
Back down to 157.2 this morning. Need to get that water in, fell off the regular water intake, I wish I knew why that happens, I feel so much better when I 'm hydrated.

Diana thank goodness the salt rinses and Listerine seemed to have fixed it, it's just barely tender in that area, and fortunately or unfortunately I have no problems chewing now did make it through the juice day, haven't done that in awhile, it's a good reset for me, stops some of the cravings and gets me back on track.

B- grits, reduced sugar almond milk, 2 poached eggs
L- spring mix, onion sprouts, Italian, salsa ranch yogurt dressing and balsamic, smoked oysters
S- clementines, navel orange
D- salad with tuna
E- walk at work, rail trail

Hope everyone has a great day

Sounds like we're all doing some monitoring and tweaking as needed, great job everyone!

Down 2 more pounds of this stupid water weight, which is a miracle, seeing as TOM has arrived. I fasted until 6pm yesterday and had a porkchop with a mayo onion glaze, some broccoli and a little bit of sausage for supper. Calories were at 1160.

I swam 30 minutes yesterday and did my primal "sprint" in the form of 50 pounds of groceries from my car on the street around the back and up the stairs in a windstorm.

I've been following Mark's daily Apple since I started, but I've finally read the Primal Blueprint, and I think I've identified the cause of last year's stall. I'm paring down the intensity and duration of my swims, walking more, and will incorporate sporadic sprinting and lifting. I don't think pushing myself at the pool five days a week and killing myself doing yoga class did me as many favors weight loss wise as it did mentally.

Does anyone else share my ability to abuse healthy food? I had my lower cal homemade chicken noodle soup and another low calorie beef vegetable my mom brought me in the fridge yesterday and i ate many bowls. The beef veg soup had giant bits of kale, parsnips, etc. so good!

Total cals were 1638, not outrageous due to the low cal but it depresses me that I am such a freak with food. The constant battle of the wills is exhausting.

Plan today:

Coffee with milk

Veg beef soup (one serving left. Yay!)

Roasted veg and a protein pancake

Diana thank you for the nice compliment, you are too kind

I still have the damn 2 pounds of water but I also just realized that TOM is just days away, so whatever. I'm taking advantage of the week off I have in that I am exercising A LOT!
We went on a 50 minute, 7 mile bike ride after work yesterday and Mapmywalk says I burned 265 calories. It keeps track of how fast I'm going via GPS, but one thing it doesn't know is that when we are riding slower it's because we are going up hill! So I am positive that the number it gives me is conservative!

Ok, today's menu looks like this:
B - instant re-fried beans/egg whites/green salsa
L - chicken breast/small amount of chopped broccoli/cream of broccoli soup mixture...wasn't much left!
S - I've got a banana and a tiny fuji apple
D - I'm feeling like chicken cordon blue and some kind of veggie. Of course, a turkey burger patty and tater tots with a veggie sound good, too

Thanks, Sum and Kelijpa for sharing. The visual makes me laugh. Pineapple turkey chili sounds interesting!

Yep - back when I was in my very early 20's I had a binging problem, but since I lived alone, I had very little food that had calories. I binged on cucumbers, frozen vegetables, etc. I once ate an entire carton of just the egg whites and another time I baked slices of onion and ate those. I never gained weight, but it was just this uncontrollable feeling of shoveling food in when I was stuffed. That's why I didn't have foods in my house that could make much of a caloric dent!

I haven't really binged in probably 10 years, but I can easily overeat all of my meals (which are always healthy). That's one of the many reasons why freezing 1 cup portions of soup and 1.5 cup portions of chili and stew are awesome for me. I wouldn't heat up a second serving, but I would grab a few more spoonfuls from the pot if it was available.

On the same note, I love cooking things in muffin tins because they're all portioned out for me and I can just take one serving out (chicken pot pie, shepherd's pie, chicken divan, meatloaf, lasagna cups, crustless quiche, etc).

I can binge on anything. I can vividly remember hurling up salad because I ate so much of it. Not that the behavior is healthy either way, but I probably wouldn't have hit the weight I did if I'd stuck to overdoing it on salad!

I could do some damage on a salad!

Freezing serving sized portions is a good idea. I tend to make a big batch and then live off of that food for several days until it's gone. It never occurred to me to freeze it because it won't be around long enough but that is a method to consider. Thank you!

Munchy,I freeze portions for my DH, he loves his "containers", makes feeding him on weekends easy. I try to keep a variety in the freezer, it is always a surprise for him what he pulls out; pulled pork, chicken/rice soup, chili etc...

I can eat, and have eaten, far too many cans of canned fish and very large salads (in excess of 2 lbs). There are two stages to a diet. First, picking the right foods. Secondly, not eating too many of them. Stage 2 is tough! But you can get pretty far on Stage 1 alone. I am now trying to master stage 2.

So, "binge" on and revisit at about 10lbs from goal.

Guys, I am feeling reeeally full right now. I didn't do too good today. I drank a bunch of shots! I didn't eat that much today, but along with the whiskey, I feel quite overtly plump. Either way, who cares. I'm already used to eating small amounts so I can pretty much lose the extra 5-700 calories I imagine I consumed in alcohol. I didn't really measure it to be honest.
