Still alone here....

Holding steady at 138

JayZeeJay 02-25-2014 03:44 PM

Hi again Sum. I'm at 138.5 - half a pound in the wrong direction despite strict calorie counting (average 1250-1300 net/day). Nothing to do but keep on truckin'.

Sum38 02-28-2014 09:42 AM

Hi ya, JayZeeJay.

I have been sick all week and I think I am retaining fluid. 140.2 this am. :(

Sum38 03-02-2014 10:29 AM

Still up a bit, but not going to admit that I am back at the 140's :D

140.4...hoping to have a pound loss today.

Hi "Good-bye 130s people"!

I ought to pipe up on this board. Originally I didn't think I'd ever say good-bye to the 130s - since my goal was in the 130s. But now I am wondering if I actually can get below 130. Maybe???

This week's range 135 - 138

Hope your feeling better soon, Sum.

LovesToTravel 03-02-2014 07:37 PM

Gonna join you folks in this thread now. :) I don't have a specific goal weight in mind so I can't say I'm actively trying to get OUT of the 130's, but I'm definitely not done with weight loss yet so here I be. Once upon a time I was in the 120's so it's possible I'll wave goodbye to the 130's at some point down the road, you never know.

I'm getting over a cold with some chest congestion so I'm not doing any intense exercise at the moment. Today I was snowed in again so I took a leisurely 5 mile walk on the treadmill for a couple hours while I listened to an audiobook. Feeling overall happy with my food choices this week.

Sorry to hear you've been sick this week too, Sum. Feel better soon!

Tilly, it's very possible you could say goodbye to the 130's! Wherever you end up feeling happy and healthy sounds like a good place though, no matter the number.

Sum38 03-03-2014 06:37 AM

Tilly and LovesToTravel  I have company!!!!!!!!!!!

Tilly, you will find the weight you feel most comfortable with. My artificial goal is 122, but I have a feeling it will be anywhere between 117-125 pounds.

LTT, I hope you'll feel better soon. Take it easy and don't push yourself whilst sick.

So I am officially back to this thread :D Not by much though. 139.8 Today will be a low calories day, so I hope I will drop a bit more weight.
I volunteer at a Finnish Center (I grew up in Finland) on Monday's and Wednesdays and I usually get so busy that I barely have time to eat. I am packing a lunch to take with me, but it will only be a salad.

I was hoping to go to the gym as well, but it all depends how tired I am after the day at the FCA.

JayZeeJay 03-03-2014 12:45 PM

Hi ladies - glad to have others in the same boat to "report to" :)

Today: 136.5 - the very strict calorie counting is starting to pay off. I don't love it but I now have a deadline for this weight loss goal, so I can deal with it for the short term.

LovesToTravel 03-03-2014 11:01 PM

Hope your day was busy and productive, Sum. Did you get a chance to go to the gym this evening? And what does one do at a Finnish Center, if I may be so nosy? :)

Congrats on the loss, JayZeeJay! What is your deadline?

Sum38 03-04-2014 09:02 AM

I don't mind at all :) -- I the the chair for the membership committee. I had a busy day and I escaped at 4 pm through the back door, literally :D

Weight is creeping down, :yay: 139.2 this morning.

JayZeeJay 03-04-2014 11:28 AM

Sum and LTT: hope you both are feeling better!

LTT: I'm getting married at the end of June - that has turned "I think I'm in maintenance" into "get these last pounds off!" But I am thankful that I made it this far already - I was probably pushing 170 when I started this weight-loss journey, so this last bit is fairly small potatoes in comparison.

LovesToTravel 03-05-2014 09:53 PM

That's an exciting deadline, JayZeeJay! Considering how much success you've had so far, I'm sure those last few pounds will slip off with a little effort.

Sum, that's quite a commitment and sounds like you find it very rewarding. And congrats on being "officially" back in the 130's! :D

I'm recording how many miles I walk on a calendar (17 so far this week) and with any luck I'll be feeling ready for my hiking trip in June! I'm also re-thinking my meals. My weight has settled the past couple of months between 139 and 141...my husband suggested I may have gone as far as I'm going to go with what I'm currently doing. After thinking about it, I realized that I sure do eat a lot of bread everyday. :^: So I'm going to plan some meals that focus more on lean protein and veggies, then see if the scale starts changing.

Sum38 03-06-2014 10:01 AM

I refuse to go back to the 140's thread. Eventhough I have eaten myself silly and PMS is here. It's all water right??

My scale is all over the place. Wish it would swing downwards...but I need to get TOM first and my eating under control.

I made a meal plan for today. When I usually do that I adhere to it. I fasted from lunch to lunch.

Weight 141.4, ugh

Jenny222 03-06-2014 11:36 AM

Congratulations, that's quite an accomplishment! How long did it take you?
