End of my first week, and lost 7.5 pounds! (From 196 to 188.5 this morning.)

Dana, :welcome:. 7.5 lbs is great! And it's not ALL water weight! My lower # this AM is also prob water but, like you, I'll take it!
Aida, we both keep plugging away. Where is everyone else?

Hello,

I'm new here. Started last Friday. My weekly weigh-in will be Friday mornings.

Just a quick overview: My last sugar binge was on Sunday. Since Monday I've been eating less, keeping track of calories, eating healthier, & cutting out sweets! I also committed to working out Monday through Friday. I'm doing Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as well as a "Walk Fitness" DVD. Each workout is about 45 - 60 min. Not real intense, but a good way to get back in shape. My muscles are sore and it feels good. The Yoga works every part of my body as well as my internal organs!

Weigh-in last Friday: 163 Current weight: 161 Total Loss: 2

In September I weighed 164 and started doing yoga, but only a couple of times a week. I was trying to eat less but I started binging again off and on. I have had so much trouble getting back on track since I was diagnosed with hypothyroid 2 years ago. Prior to that I exercised regularly for over 25 years and was pretty healthy! Even when my thyroid was back to normal I became so discouraged at my weight gain and being out of shape, that I just got lazy! I have never gone this long without some kind of regular exercise routine. It's a killer starting all over after 2 years!

I believe joining this Weight Loss Community was what I needed to get motivated because I get to be accountable and share my progress.

I want to join! I just joined this group yesterday.... I am 225 as of today! I will post my weigh in Sunday Mornings.
