Broke through plateau w 1 lb. loss!!!
Ok, I know it's not much but I'm so happy!!! When I weighed in this morning, I braced myself for a gain because I was out of town for 5 days which included a rehearsal dinner, a wedding meal w desert, etc., a party the next day with tons of food and then a binge on Monday when I got back. I then tried to compensate by eating very little on Tuesday and yesterday. I must have been holding onto water weight due to exercise and I haven't worked out much. Anyway miracles happen because I was stuck at 172 for what seemed like over a month. Today I was at 170.9! Yippeee!!!

YAY!
I swear sometimes my body just needs that extra little "binge" to jump start it again!
Good job

Yes, congrats!
I stay stuck at the same number for a long time too, so I know how good it feels when the scale finally moves.

Yay! I have also found that I sometimes finally lose after a binge. So strange!

Congrats! LOL, I am with the rest of these chicks. Why is it after a binge where you think you're gonna gain you end up losing?

You guys totally rock! Normally, I'd be frustrated with this rate of loss but since I was expecting a significant gain, I'm really quite tickled about it!
When living on a calorie deficit, a sudden increase in calories can release some hormones that lead you to lose more weight. Ok, it's way more scientific than that, but that's the general idea. However, the advice typically given is that you only increase calories in a controlled manner without sugar, etc....I didn't do it the "right" way, and maybe I was overdue for a large Woosh and so instead, I got a smaller loss.
Thanks everyone!
