I agree with just about everyone here that it's an individual thing, when you should stop eating.

I get up at 5 and like to eat almost right away, I have my coffee, for some reason can't drink anything cold in the a.m., kills my tummy, and then have something to eat, usually some type of oatmeal.

I generally, but not religiously practice a different kind of fasting than John, I do a juice/veggie fast two non-consecutive days a week. Kind of like the 5:2 diet but not as strict.

Not sure what this has to do with your original question, but felt the need to share that anyhow, I don't believe you should go to bed hungry, unless you want restless sleep, and I do believe that sleep is an important factor in body function, if your body is functioning properly then you will be more successful in your weight loss efforts and more importantly your overall health.

best to all

There is simply no way I could stop eating at 6-7pm. I usually snack at 9pm (and go to bed at 10). I get a bit hungry then! I always save room for 1-3 snacks in the evening. It's not hindered my losses at ALL.

It just is what it is.

I've lost working graveyard shifts. I just did everything in reverse of the rest of the world, and I've lost working what we perceive to be normal hours.

In the winter where we live we tend to eat our evening meal around 7, in the summer, because we farm it may be 9 p.m. or sometimes later before we get around to it.

The key is in creating an overall calorie deficit. It does not really matter how you divide it up.

see it depends on our diet plan and our eating habits.
