Default Get Me Out Of The 180's/170's/160's

Hi All,

I am back (again)- still hanging in there, and still (again) in the 180's. I had some minor issues happen for a little bit, primarily involving a pretty wicked lack of motivation.

Regardless- I am back, and ready to rock.

Anybody care to join me in getting out of these dreaded decades? Even if you're kind of close!

I started out on weight watchers, but I prefer the freedom of calorie counting. I have recently seen a nutritionist, and have a great idea of how to eat. I am looking to keep a healthy balance of exercise, food/nutrition/indulgences.

Me me me! I was in the 170s, down from 200 but I've regained and am in the upper 180s I'm having hernia surgery in 2 days and though no one likes surgery, I had been discouraged by the bulge in my tummy. I'm going to let this be the kickoff of doing much better with exercise and diet. I'm at an age (51) when I really want to lose the menopause weight and the weight that just crept on over the years and keep it off! As well as not have to have another hernia repair - this one is my second and I said after the first one I was going to try not to have another.

I like your idea of the grouping the 180s-160s range together. It is a hard slog and so easy to regain, at least that's been my experience. I feel like if I could get down below 160 I'd have a fighting chance at taking off the rest.

So yes, let's have lots of mutual support!

After 2+ months hovering between 180-183, I'm (what I consider) almost comfortably in the 170s at 178.3.

I seriously HATE the 180s.

Now I'm ready to kick some 170 @$$!

:-)

You go girl! Today I went to the Y because I earned fitness points for a free cholesterol/lipids check. So I weighed myself and was 185, which is down 2-3 pounds from when I was at the doctor's last week. My surgery's tomorrow so there'll probably be some fluctuations due to that - but it's also the beginning of turning over that new leaf!

I was on a roll and the last couple of weeks have been FLAT for me. Too many indulgences, not enough movement, and generally feeling BLAH. I would love love love to be about of the weight range in this thread!

I really want to get out of these 170's. I would be ecstatic to see 160's on the scale! Weight is getting harder and harder to lose these days.

But I've had a few planned and not so planned meals lately. Need to put my nose to the grindstone and get serious again..........but after tonight, going to the ballgame.

I eagerly await getting into the 160s! Haven't seen them since I was what, 11 years old? I'm at 174 right now, though I'm hoping for a whoosh sometime soon.

Count me in. The 180s have been holding me hostage for over a year. I've been bouncing around between 183 and 189 forever. I got as low as 179 once, but it only lasted for a hot second......I'm focused and determined to shake these 180s once and for all.

172 this morning! (down 2 lbs from my low of 174 about a month ago) Still really bloated though, so hopefully that means the scale will continue to go lower.

You're welcome!

Had my surgery and was home by 6:00 p.m. Taking it easy and resting. Doctor wrote "lose weight" on the instructions . . . So I will. He's a really nice doctor and I've already mentioned I would like exercises to strengthen the abs so hopefully there'll be no more hernias. When I see him for followup I'll mention it again.

Right now I'm learning a few things about where abdominal muscles are - they're the ones that scream when I move them the wrong way, LOL!
