Default Me, My Husband, and Our Shirts

Big NSV this week!

When we met 10 years ago, I was wearing L shirts and my husband was wearing M. When I started losing weight, I was at an XL and he was a L. So for a decade, my shirts were always bigger. Every now and then I'd get a free tshirt from somewhere or order one off the internet and if it was too small, I'd give it to my husband.

From last fall to about a month ago, we both wore L shirts.

Now, I'm wearing a M. He's still a L! We were sorting through our clothes for an upcoming move yesterday and something magical happened. He found some shirts that were too small on him, so he offered them to me!!! And I gave him all of my L shirts he liked of mine since I don't wear them anymore!

Mind blown.

Hug yourself when you put them on, you deserve it!!

Your posts make me smile every time I read them. I get happy when I see "underwater" and a new post, I know it's going to be a good one!

I'm 3lbs from weighing the same as my husband so hopefully this Monday or next. He's still taller than me by a few inches but at least soon I'll be less than him! That will be a major NSV day!

My husband is a start-up engineer in Silicon Valley so the shirts he give me are from very new, very tiny companies. I like to think that I am very hipster to be wearing a shirt of a company that nobody is cool enough to know about yet

Elvis I think the same about you. I think we have very similar personalities. On a good day, I know I just radiate happiness and I'd bet you do, too!

I went by my husband on the scale about 2 weeks ago. I was like "See you, SUCKER!"

(He is a very healthy weight for his height so no hard feelings!)

My husband and I... we just have the best time together. All the time, throughout the almost-100 lbs of weight loss, he'd hug me and give an extra squeeze and tell me I feel smaller today.

I can't believe he stuck with me through at least a 50 lb gain from when we met.

My husband is awesome too, and, he puts up with me LOL. He's a saint really!

Underwater, I DOUBLED my size. And he never said one mean or critcizing word. Ever. I thought I was so large when I met him around 160! He hugs me now and we laugh about how small our stomachs are and how close we can get(his elbows touch now with his arms around me!!). Yep, we are weird!!

Woo hoo!

(I must admit, however, that I thought the title of your post meant you were going to tell us what "Team Awesome Sauce" meant.)

Awesome Sauce is the name of my Arizona Treasure Hunt team! We compete in a huge scavenger hunt in the desert in the dark every day where to find each clue to have to solve a puzzle found the in clue before it. Over 300 people compete in like 75 teams at this event every year. Its amazing. I started while I was living in Arizona and now I fly down every year to compete.

They explain it better here: http://aztreasurehunt.org/about/

Very cool. I was just about to write back that that I had never heard of this, but then it occurred to me that I have. Then, I was going to write back that my local newspaper (The Miami Herald) used to have a section in it called "Tropic", and that they used to have a "Tropic Hunt" every year-- but that was many years ago. Then, just to make sure I was referring to it correctly, I googled "Tropic Hunt" and learned that THEY ARE STILL DOING IT EVERY YEAR until the current year, but they changed the name of it to the name of the paper (i.e. "Herald Hunt"). I think its the same concept as your Arizona Hunt.
