I've been stupidly dieting at roughly 1000 calories for the past 6 months or so, now that I want to maintain, I'm finding that i'm gaining at 1500 calories! As a somewhat active 16 year old girl I'm sure it should be double that! What's worse is that I'm now more tired and hungry than I was eating 1000 calories.
So I'm tempted to try taking an extreme diet break, and eating over my TDEE for a week (probably around 3000). I'm not too bothered about weight gain, as I am a little underweight anyway. (5'8 123lbs/8st 10lbs)
Has anyone had any success doing anything similar? And will 1 week be long enough to fix my metabolism?
