I can share what I'm doing. Most of it is in my blog as well.
1. I quit my Mountain Dew habit.
No soda at all anymore.
2. Instead of drinking my coffee
with tons of sugar and creamer (about 300-400 calories per cup made at home) I now drink one cup with only two measured servings of creamer. (70 cals v/s 300-400 cals per cup)
3. I weigh and measure everything I eat.
4. I log everything I eat and drink
, but usually I only drink water.
5. I eat out very
infrequently and when I do, I try to order something that will fit within my calorie allowance. l
I'm not following any diet plan. I'm eating what fits into my lifestyle and being diligent about portion sizes. I've had chocolate. I've had ice cream. I do not deprive myself but partake in moderation.
In January I started walking every single day. Started only doing a few minutes a day slowly, and now I'm up to running 3.2 miles. I worked at it every day.
I'm never starving. I make sure to eat some type of protein with every meal. It helps to keep me full longer.
