Wow!! Thank you guys SO much for the support, you have no idea how much that means to me. I was feeling really depressed about it, because I DO feel mushy and I DO know I need to tone up, so it hit a sore spot. It's like...I finally achieved my goal, but it's still not good enough.

You guys are so incredibly kind, thanks again for making me see the big picture and ignore his comments. I shouldn't have let it ruin my mood.

Losing 50 lbs is fantastic. No doubt about it.

That said - when you lose a lot of weight and you don't lift weights you lose muscle along with fat so you end up being pretty mushy. If you're interested in looking better naked "Toning up" is actually really easy if that is what you want to do.

Three times a week, full body compound exercise weight lifting routine and in two months you'll loook completely different in the mirror and an arm squeeze will have a different result.

*Sorry - as a guy I'm always providing solutions to problems even if no solution was being asked for*

Congratulations on your HUGE accomplishment.

There will ALWAYS be people that drag you down, whether they do it intentionally or not. Look at all those ridiculous magazines and stupid entertainment shows that criticize the most gorgeous models and actresses in the world.

Honestly though, I'm guessing that man doesn't have a wife or girlfriend. If he did he'd know better. What a stupid stupid stupid thing to say to a woman!!!

OMG, what I wouldn't give to be 5'8" and 140 lbs!! I'm sure you look awesome, and you should feel awesome, too. I can't imagine what that guy was thinking to a) come over and squeeze you and b) make a comment like that! Was his intent when squeezing you to see how toned you were?? Jerk!

Yes he's a jerk for saying that, sounded like he really wasn't thinking before he was speaking. Losing 50 pounds is a fantastic accomplishment!

But...look on the bright side! He did say you were "so thin" -

How old is this coworker? I'm wondering if he was just looking for an excuse to touch you.

I had to giggle at this. My BF does this all the time and I have to start a conversation with "this is not a needs a resolution type of conversation"

It might be the media's fault rather than his. How many fitness infomercials focus on gaining muscle (like p90x, insanity, etc)? A ton. So maybe he just assumes that losing weight equals tons of muscle.

Congrats that is awesome!!! And as for that guy, he's just being a guy. Pay no mind to his comments. He obviously doesn't know how to keep a sensitive frame of mind when he is speaking...Being in the army believe me when I say this. They don't have filters when it comes to women and feelings. I'm sure if he knew he hurt your feelings he'd be really upset.

Congrats!

Your co worker is a dips#@t.

In the word of a famous "Blue Collar" comedian, "you can't fix stupid", your co worker.

So in the interest of the future, work on maintaining, and hit the gym and the free weights and get yourself some muscle!

I am biased on the weight lifting program. I do it. I love it. I've been doing it for awhile and it is so empowering to lift!
