Hi Chicks! Just popping in for a quick afternoon Hello!
Having a pretty good day on this end - no complaints! Just ready to head home in about an hour and enjoy my evening of exercise, the dogs and American Idol -- and hoping Jeff gets to come home tonight.
Tracy -- You go girl!! Good job at the gym last night --- and, going back today --- even better!
Sara --- Thank you for sharing your ephipany with us!!! You are not preachy at all!!! I love it when you share your revelations!!! I know I have said it before, but you give me so much inspriration!
2cute --- try not to let all of those things get you down at once. I know you have an awful lot to think about, try to tackly one issue at a time. I always think in baby steps than the huge picture!!! I really meant what I said about "taking care of myself". I am not on a diet --- I have changed my lifestyle. For my weight? Yes, but also for a million other reasons. Happiness, Health, wanting to get pregnant, I want to love life!!!
I know I am not going to do all these things overnight. I am taking it one day, one pound, one thing at a time...
Deon - Glad to see you checking in and letting us know you are doing well. I hope you get to feeling better soon so you can get out there walking again!
Mary --- So happy to hear that your sister is doing well!
Steph --- YIPPEE!!!! 5 pounds!!!!
Kat --- That "to do" list sounds very familiar! There are always a million things to do around the house! Your gym sounds great -- seems to have a lot of different classses.
Sandy --- Pleased to hear that today sees you in a better mood!!! I know financial issues can be very difficult to deal with.
I hope you continue to have a good day!
Amanda --- By now you have probably already left for you shopping trip!! You can do it. Take a big bottle of water and a healthy snack with you to avoid other munchies. Long car rides can be tough. I commute over an hour to work everyday and I use to always think I needed a soda and candy bar on the way home! What in the world was I thinking. Now I just take some water and sometimes a piece of fruit! Let us know how you did! Good or bad we are here for you!!!!
Also, I know how hard the hubby thing is --- my hubby really needs to lose weight but hasn't gotten the motivation yet. He is still eating at McDonalds and bringing junk home. I found that I have to do what Sara said --- no junk in the house. Then I'll just eat it. The other night he wanted dessert -- the only thing I usually keep is some kind of low-fat/sugarfree popsicles. So I told him if he wanted dessert he would have to get in the car and go buy it. Did he?
So, I accomplished two things -- it wasn't in the house for me to eat and he didn't feel like getting in the car, so he didn't eat anything either! Good for both of us! I am also trying to seriously think before I put anything in my mouth --- I ask myself, "do I need this or do I want this". A lot of times I stop myself realizing I was about to do some "mindless eating". If you all are like me you can end up eating something without even realizing what you are doing.
Well, I've been here too long --- I'll check in tonight!
Love,
Barb
