Am I the only one who eats really healthy, exercises at least 3 days
a week and is still drained of energy??
I don't get it! I've lost 40 pounds in a years time but the energy
still isn't there. I can move better now but all I would like to do is sleep.
I'm sure I'm eating enough calories and getting enough sleep.
It's so odd.
Does anyone have this problem as well?
Color me clueless
I have been feeling tired lately too. I take plenty of vitamIns for sure. I have been taking naps which I hate. But on the plus side going to sleep was always a task, now my anxiety seems to be to tired to keep me up. I think I a going to try adding iron back into the mix, just hate the constipation it causes.
Having some blood work sounds like a good idea, I don't have insurance but know of low cost alternatives. It could also be the lack of carbs if u are restricting them, I know I am.
I second the suggestion of going to the doctor to rule out underlying causes.
I feel the same way as you. I did go to the doctor a couple years ago for a full work up, even a sleep study, but all was normal. I know people say when they start exercising regularly they feel more energetic. I'm still here waiting for that feeling to kick in.
When I felt tired like that all the time a few years ago, my doc discovered that I had a Vitamin D deficiency. A course of pills set me right. The thing is, though, is that there are so many things that can cause fatigue. Like others have said, a visit to the doc is in order.
Chybbiegirl - try googling some at-home ways to tell if you're low on certain vitamins. I know that there's a trick with rubbing a gold ring on your skin to tell if you're anemic, there may be other tricks like that if you're not able to afford blood work.
I agree with everyone else, you need to get in to see a doctor and get some blood work done. There are many different things that can cause fatigue, and lots of them are easily treatable but you shouldn't try to self-treat when you don't know the specific reason.
Good luck, hope you get some answers and feel better and more energetic soon!!
A friend of mine ended up with a vitamin B-12 deficiency because of her diet and because she drank a lot of coffee and caffeine stop the absorption of vitamin B-12.
