Welcome to the Merry Month of May, Jaded Ladies!

  • I'm not wild about the whole numbering the treads thing, and starting a new thread every week or so (or whenever it gets past one page), so I went back to the monthly titled pages. I have the thread bookmarked and uploaded onto my Palm for offline use, and its a royal pain to have to change the links all the time--I hope no one minds.

Its May...is anyone going to go out and create a Maypole? I'm going to make one with the kids later today.
  • Happy MayDay!
Wow, Kat! I almost didn't see the new thread. I don't care what you call it as long as it's there.

Last night I hussled my bippy off to WW (again!). They have a new thing for lifetime members. You can only sign up until the end of May.....pay only $8.00 a week, but if you miss a meeting, you have to pay for the missed meeting. (Lifetimers never have to pay for missed meetings.)

Can't believe the year is almost half over! Never made a maypole - sounds like fun!

    Love to all,
    carree
  • How come if lifetimers don't have to pay for missed meetings, the new policy is that they do? Is it for newly made lifetimers?

I don't use WW because I can't afford the blasted weekly fees.
  • Kat,

You only have to pay for missed meetings with this new promotion which gives you a discount on your meeting fee. I have to check it out and see if I sign up for this, I give up my lifetime privilege of not having to pay for missed meetings on a permanent basis. Since I am over two pounds over my goal, I have to pay for every meeting I attend.

It's supposed to be an incentive to get Lifetimers back down to goal. Of course, I understand that WW is a business and has to operate as such. I remember, though, that it was the acountability that got me down to goal and kept me there for so long.

When I really COMMIT to attending meetings every week, it's that knowledge that will most times keep me from taking the first bite of the first piece. And it's that very moment when it's all decided one way or another.
  • *sigh* 224 lbs and my heel spur is killing me. I have an entire extra person pasted on my belly, hips, boobs, and thighs.
  • Blargh...for three days now I have been feeling wretched. My tummy is upset and having spasms, so I always feel like I'm going to upchuck. I've barely eaten...you suppose this will pass sometime soon?
  • Happy Mother's Day to All!
    Kat,

Hope you are feeling better. Let us know how you are doing.

    HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!

    Love,
    carree
  • Thanks Carree...

It took almost 4 days for my tummy to sort out, but its fine again now.

One year from tomorrow I will be graduating--graduation is always on Mother's Day, so I never end up having anyone aside from my children actually be able to attend...its unfortunate, but Norwich insists on sticking to tradition.

I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow--I'm enjoying not having to study. Now, I have a date to play literati online with my kids...see you later!
  • Happy Mother's Day!
  • Que pasa?
    Where is everyone?

    Love,
    carree
  • I'm heading out with the kids to watch the lunar eclipse tonight.
  • Knock knock...amnyone home?
