Thumbs down irritated

So every weekend we cook out for football games. I plan my meals accordingly. So today everyone wanted brats. I bought some turkey ones for me to eat. The normally wonderful grill master mixed up the brats. I don't want to eat any now in fear of going over on my calories for the day. Now I'm starving with nothing to eat watching everyone enjoy their yummy food. The cook apologized, but that doesn't change the fact my stomach us still empty. I wish the brats looked a little different so we could tell them apart. Grr.

How big is the calorie difference between a turkey brat and a normal brat? Is it really that big?

You may be better off just eating a little, even if you might go a couple hundred calories over, because being hungry can lead to eating more the next time you eat. If you are hungry, your body is sending you a signal that you might need to eat more.

I'd have just eaten the brats! No sense in depriving yourself and being hungry. Maybe eat half a brats?

Thanks everyone I just needed to vent! As it turned out I waited until we left and picked up some egg drop soup on my way home. Delicious

You'll definitely get more attention by refusing to eat the brats. If you are so concerned, you could have ate half a brat. Is that the only thing available? If so, you planned badly in the first place.

Susan-my friends understand my weight loss mission and are supportive. I did plan accordingly hence the turkey brats. They got mixed in with the regular by mistake. I didn't want to chance the calories. So, i waited and picked up some soup after the game ended. All turned out great. I was just hungry when i posted and wanted to vent. Thank you for your suggestion though.
