Thumbs up

I went out and jogged 45 minutes, approx 700 cals burned. (I probably burned more like 400-600 but who knows)

Hi, OnaMi.

It occured to me that it's going to suck once the dead of winter hits, I really like this jogging thing. I'll be stuck in my bedroom with Jillian all winter again. That gets boring.

Hello everyone.

Just got back from my doctor appointment.. she was thrilled with me and so proud. That felt good, of course. She is always such an encourager. My blood pressure was also one of my lowest ever readings, so all-in-all it has been a very encouraging day!!!

And it's only Friday LOL. Feels like Saturday night since I did not work today.

Misti, last I checked I had high cholesterol so I'll be curious to see if that's improved. I plan to get re-tested soon. Also, my resting heart rate used to be close to 90bpm and now it's 67-70bpm.

My doc better give me a sucker or something.

Hi Everyone! Something funny from today that I thought I would share:

I've think I've noticed some changes in my body recently. I just don't know where it's coming from though. Last week when I tried on my new dress for my DH he mentioned that my butt looked good. Today I went shopping and bought my new hose and found a pair of shoes. I had also bought a pair of shoes on Thursday. I wanted to try everything on and decide which pair of shoes that I liked the best. We decided that we liked the shoes I got today for the dress. I wanted to make sure they looked the best with my dress pants too. I walked by our entertainment center and saw my reflection in the glass. My butt looked more pronounced than I remember. Hmm, I was thinking that maybe it was the hose that I had on gave some extra shaping. I took them off, but(t) it was still there. It seems perkier, rounder, and firmer. Way TMI, I know. I'm not sure what's going on. I don't think it has to do with Les Mills since I just started this program. I have been doing Sports Attack for about a month. I don't think that would do it by itself. Before that I did the #10 SDX rotation. I will keep an eye on it and report back if it falls flat of my expectations. Now, mind you, that thing does not need to keep growing. I will definitely need to keep an eye on it. I guess I need to make sure DH keeps an eye on it too, and for him to report any changes he notices.

Misti Congrats on the new decade!

Mamakat Ha Ha between the two of us, I know we can come up with plenty of excuses. I am seriously thinking about branching out and buying a pair of boots. I actually looked at some tonight. I didn't see a style that I liked in my size (Ms. Big Foot, here ) Or as my good friend says, I am standing on a good foundation. Ha Ha Gotta love your friends. You had a beautiful view this morning. I hope the rest of your day was just as beautiful for you.

Isabella Congrats on the 2.6 pounds!

Novangel LOL on the couch holding you down. See you can come up with good excuses, too. Great job on the jogging today! Maybe you can buy a few more workout DVD to help get you through the Winter.

Ona Ok, so the P90X was a class at the gym? Does your gym offer Body Pump classes? I wonder if Power Pump is the same as Body Pump? I am doing the home version of that right now. I hope you can get that jog/run in tomorrow. Has your family adjusted to your weight loss? I know we discussed our struggles with that before.

Good morning everyone

LOL awake again at 2:30 AM!! At least today is Saturday! I can't decide if I want to go at 7:00 AM for laps the deeper pool or wait until whenever and just go to LA Fitness. I do love deep water.

novangel, I hope you get a better result on your cholesterol; way to go on the heart rate. And LOL you better hope the doctor gives you a sticker or something instead of a sucker.

Diana, LOL about your butt story. Hope that thing does what you want it to LOL

Well, perhaps I will go watch the rest of the Michael Pollan video I started since I am totally wide awake! No food though although I would like to !! But I don't want to wear it.

Hello everyone

Wishing everyone a great weekend!!

Diana, it is only 6:15 now and the pool opens at 7:00 -- but I went to two grocery stores. Kept debating about the pool but I think I decided to go to Costco instead as I only go on Saturday if I can get there when they first open so it is not so crowded.

It is really nice to have another day off after being off yesterday! Unfortunately I have to work Monday.

Good point! I like stickers too. It's nice that you have an awesome doc my GYN talks/lectures me like I am 17. I know he means well but I want to tell him to shut up half the time.

It was a nice warm day for a jog and now it's thunder storming. :/ I guess I wait and see otherwise I will do Jillian tonight. I'll get something done to make up for slacking Thursday.

novangel, it was a beautiful day here and I got in a nice run (45 mins). I too dread the cold, dark winter since it will limit my exercise choices. I just don't see myself going outside to run when it gets into the 30s. It was in the 50s today and I still wore my headband and gloves (while other people were in shorts!).

Misti, which Michael Pollan are you watching? I love his writing and enjoyed The Botany of Desire when it was on PBS a couple of years ago.

Isabella, congrats on the weigh in!

Diana, I've been thinking about buying boots, too. I just hate buying shoes, though, so I tend to be not at all fashionable with footwear.

I'm going to make myself something fun for dinner tonight, panko chicken to dip in raspberry honey mustard. Yum.

Hi everyone

Whew, busy day!

Steph, I have watched several of Michael Pollan's videos. I am thinking about buying some of his books.

Diana, yes... I always planned to work out in the pool; it was just a question of which one. I did an hour this afternoon.

Had something new for dinner -- butternut squash ravioli (yum) and Mom's spaghetti sauce... no added sugar, lots of fresh ingredients, and loaded with chunky tomatoes, garlic chunks and basil leaves... 30 calories per 1/2 cup. Delicious!!
