Default Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred!

I'm on day 5 of this DVD, so far I'm loving it, easy to get the 20 minutes in and the exercises are very easy to follow and I find it very motivating. I'm not usually one for exercise DVDs as they tend to be too long winded and boring but I'm digging this! I'm generally feeling very motivated and craving lots of fresh veggie packed meals since starting as well. Also love that it includes some strength training too, and I can vary the weights depending on how I feel. Hopefully it will be a great tool through the winter as there will be no excuse!

Just thought I'd share in case anyone was looking for a new exercise routine. Are there any other good exercise DVD's people here are using perhaps?
I have also tried out some Zumba exercise DVD's and games lately but those weren't really for me.

I love Insanity by Beachbody. It's 9 weeks long. It's a killer workout but it's oh so good.

30 Day Shred is awesome I got AMAZING results. I recommend it to everyone. I actually did it for longer than 30 days because I was so out of shape and I actually enjoyed that DVD. I'm now doing Ripped In 30.

This is a great workout DVD! I used it for about 6 months a couple years ago. At that time I was about 152 lbs and I only lost 6 lbs after all was said and done but I was so toned!

Right now I'm doing Jillian Michaels' Yoga Meltdown and I'm loving this one as well.

I just finishe day 4 of level 2. I really dig level 2 much easier on my knees, or my knees are getting stronger

I think I've heard of Insanity, might have to took into it sometime! I admit the 30 day shred initially got my attention because of the short duration. But having now done level 1+2 I can see how people can get great results in just a month. I think i will probably do it for at least 2 months though before I try anything new.

@Thedollylala I agree about that! My left knee is a on the weak side and I definitely level 1 hard on it. I'm kinda both dreading/can't wait to try out level 3.

I'm really looking forward to doing 30 day shred!! I've got a 5K October 14 I'm practicing for (did C25K over the summer, and now I'm trying to build up speed), but as soon as that's over, I'm in!

Are you doing it every single day? I read somewhere to do two days on, a day of cardio, two days on, a day of cardio, and a day of rest. At that rate, it will take me up to right around Christmas.

I am just doing some extra strength training on about 2 days atm, mostly just because I enjoy it. I think some running would be good for helping build up endurance for level 2+3 though, so I might swap weights for some running sometimes. But I am doing the DVD every day yeah, level 2 coming up tomorrow morning, it's going to be killer! :P

Novangel can you share your results? I'd love to hear how it affected your energy and toning of your muscles!

I did 30 Day Shred last year for about a week but quit exercise all together (big mistake and what led me to regain!) because I got shin splints. I did love 30 Day Shred and will probably try it again at a lower weight when I start plateauing more often. For now I'm sticking to my cardio and weightlifting

I use Ripped In 30 (also by JM), Insanity, P90X, P90X+, P90X2, Supreme 90 Day, and Melt It Off. I sort of rotate the DVD's so I don't get bored.
