Hi Gang,

I am starting a new thread since the other is getting a bit long.

Will check back later, hopefully.

Default Bumping up!

Hi everyone,

Guess no one saw the new thread I started since you are all posting on the #6 thread.

I am feeling a little better physically, just upset about some other issues going on (but isn't everyone?).

Look forward to reading your posts.

Love,
carree

Hi everyone,

Carree - I haven't been here much, either. The weather is too nice to be indoors. I'm going back out in a little while to plant some shasta daisies I just got. I love daisies.... and they will bloom all summer if I keep them cut.

Hi to the others...

We had dh's family in yesterday for a pre-Easter dinner, including mil. You might remember that she is now at an Alzheimer's unit at a nursing home. She had a good time, though, and ate like a piggy.

What's everyone doing for Easter? I'll be cooking a meal here for my own little family, but my son won't be joining us until the evening meal. I bought very little candy this year... mostly just for dd who is still at home. We sure don't need a bunch of junk food and chocolate around here.

Have a good day!
Jana

Morning ladies,

I haven't been around much myself. My youngest daughter and my two granddaughters just moved back home. The are having to sleep in the computer room (it use to be Angela's bedroom) on an air mattress. That means I don't get to my computer after 8 pm or before 9 am.

I hope everyone is doing okay. Are you able to enjoy any spring weather yet? It's nice here!! Finally!!

I've got to go to class,
Ruth

Default Happy Easter!

Hi Gang,

I just wanted to send my good wishes for a peaceful and happy Easter Sunday to all of you.

I will be out of town for the next week without access to the internet so I won't be posting for awhile.

Look forward to checking in with you guys when I return.

Love,
carree

Hi all...I hope you are enjoying the finally warming weather.

I've been scarce because its the last two weeks of the semester and I've had LOOOOOOOONG days that have been exhausting me. (Some start at 5:30am and end at 2am the next day)

I'll still be scarce for another 2 weeks until after finals, but you are all in my thoughts.

Talk to you girls later,
Ruth

Blargh. The kids and I took a spin up to Burlington (unsucessful as the stores my daughter wanted to shop at were closed) and got home with a minimum of overheating. (My waterpump is on the way out)My son picked up his things and I went to take him back to his destination when my car died on the way.It just quit in the middle of the road, the engine light came on, and that was that. The starter spins but doesn't catch at all. I'm wondering if the timing belt gave way.

Oh well, it could have been worse--it could have quit on the interstate where I would have HAD to have it towed. It broke only about 3 miles from home. Now I have to figure out how to get the thing fixed with zippo for money. I have two more weeks of classes to get through.

With a little help from my friends, I have a loaner Jeep for the week (it turns out someone I know is in Guatemala for a week) and the car got a cheap flatbed tow to the mechanic. Now I have to cross my fingers that the car is repairable.

Just bumping this back up to the first page.

Now I'm off to start creating my powerpoint presentation for a seminar I have to give next week...

I love my mechanic. For $305 he not only repaired the broken timing belt, but also replaced the water pump. I was sans car for a week, but am back up and running again.

I've been very good about staying on track with my eating, and am again journaling all the food I eat. This morning the scale read 122, down from last week's high of 230. I'm sure some of that is water, but what the hey...its headed in the right direction!
