Default Is this normal?

I want to know if anyone else goes through this or not. I started out at 172, and now 148.8. Along the way I have stayed at a certin spot for a (at the most) a few weeks, then lose a little.
But here lately I am losing something almost everyday. For instance, 154.8, then, 154.4, 154.0, then go to 154.4 again, then after TOM, 151.8, then 151.4...now I just dropped from 149.8 down to 148.4 in one day. (but this is at least 2 weeks or more after tom). Is it normal to lose 4-8oz a day? I feel like it's to much, IDK. I am only walking and of course eating good.(maybe not enough, 1200-1500 daily) I have been losing weight since mid Feb, so I don't know if almost 2lbs a week is ok. I drink water, no sodas, and careful with the tea since it's a diuretic.

any advice?

That's pretty much exactly how my weight loss goes. Like a whole week where I have a loss every-single-day (awesome), then a week where I go up or stay the same (7 - 9 days), then a week or 2 where I net a loss for the week but it goes up and down all zig zaggy. That's the way my weight loss has gone every month.

I'd say that's pretty darn normal. And yes, 2 pounds a week is perfect. I also eat 1200-1500 calories a day.

Keep doin what you're doing!

I think it is normal. Almost 2 pounds a week is within an average loss. If you try to make sense about weight loss you will go bonkers. I wouldn't change a thing if I were you. It is the bottom line that counts, how much do you weigh at the end of the week or month ? Daily fluctuations are normal.

Yes I agree! I just wanted to make sure I am not losing to much. It's just weird being overweight so long and then getting thin, it almost feels like I am sick lol.

I always find it interesting to read about other people's patterns, and I've spent (probably too much) time evaluating and re-evaluating my own. Just when I think I understand my own pattern, my body switches it up. For the past few months I've been doing the whole "hold steady for weeks, go up a bit, then whoooosh" pattern with my cycles. Just recently I've moved into the same as you - a pitter-patter of daily drop-drop-drops.

It's very interesting. I wonder why/how the differences occur.

As long as you're eating the 1200-1500 you mentioned, you're doing fine. I lose in weird ways. Last week, I lost 3lbs, but that was after staying the same weight for a full week. I'd be pretty happy so see an ever 4oz per day loss. Much less crazy making.

Seems normal to me! Some weeks I lose less than a pound and others I can lose 3-4 suddenly when I'm doing the exact same thing. Probably just water weight.

A few ounces a day seems normal to me. It's the phase I'm in at the moment. In the early days I'd lose anything from nothing to two pounds from one day to the next (good old water fluctuations!). Nowadays I seem to have two phases. For a week or two I'll fluctuate wildly within a two pound range, then for a week or so I'll lose steadily, a few ounces a day. Then it's back to the fluctuating for a week. But the overall trend is down, and that's the main thing.
