Calculating my BMR
I'm trying to figure out how many calories I need to eat in a day to lose weight because I dont seem to be losing anything for a while now, which could be because I'm slacking in my diet; "eating healthy" isnt enough. Somethings wrong and I need to measure.
I calculated my BMR on a site, according to my weight (147lbs now), height (5.7") and activity levels (moderately active) I'm burning 2,300 cals on my own. Why does this seem completely wrong? So if I were to eat like 1800 and exercised 500 cals away, I'd lose 2 lbs a week? That cant be right because I used to eat 1500 cals and exercise and never lost more than 1.5lb a week. |
Put your activity level to light or low and use that BMR for a week to see if there's any change. I usually eat my BMR and not add any other calories even if I exercise.
Good luck :) |
