Cravings, Cravings, Cravings!

Sooo, it's day 10 of counting calories for me today, and I also completely cut out my pop, junk food, and anything else I think is REALLY bad for me.

I haven't had any cravings at all in my 10 days, until about an hour ago, and omg. :(

I want everything, CHOCOLATE, candy apples, cotton candy, chips, pop, cookies, sugar and salt in general, lol.
I'm not even hungry,
I'm just... having withdraws? lol
I honestly didn't even eat that much JUNK before, it was just portion control in general, and eating when I'm not even hungry, but just bored, like now.

But, I'm not giving in.
Not yet anyways.:dizzy:
Any tips and/or suggestions?

Thats normal, I tend to feel the cravings for a few weeks. Months later, they are still there but its not as bad. I just sit through it. I complain when it feels really bad.

My cravings tend to come and go. PMS will bring on the worse, but sometimes, they come one without any reason. Usually, as long as I can convince myself to wait it out, they will go away but they are extremely frustrating. Just hang in there. This too shall pass!

Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that it's my TOM, which didn't even cross my mind until just now, lol.
THAT explains it. :P

Haha, yep, that'll do it!

If the cravings stick around and you can't distract yourself with a book, or the computer, or something than I find it helps just to have something to chew on: celery, lettuce, cucumber, sugar free gum... Whatever works for you!

Thanks!
Getting my gum, ASAP.

gum definitely helps me curb my cravings A LOT. or my wanting to eat when i'm bored. but if my cravings are reallllllly bad and i haven't eaten any junk food in awhile, i'll let myself have a piece of dove dark chocolate & its usually gone afterwards :)

That would be wonderful, except I love every chocolate, except dark chocolate, lol.

I still get big-time cravings every once in a while. I will sometimes just say "stop it!" out loud. And sometimes that actually brings me to my senses!

You might also try eating something as soon as the craving starts. Not chocolate! But something that is healthy and satiates you. Something non-sugary and low calorie, like string cheese or a hard boiled egg. Maybe an almond or two if you are close to your calorie limit. Sometimes just the act of eating something will take your mind off chocolate.

That is what brings on my cravings roughly a week before and right through it until I am done. It sucks to be sure.
