SUCH a good weigh in today. Yesterday was weird, we were car shopping till like, 10pm, and THEN we ate dinner, which of course means I'm not on "schedule" if you know what I mean, lol.. So I was thinking, dude, I'm gonna be up today or the same, and that's okay... tomorrow is another day and then BAM! 189.6 staring up right in my FACE! WOO!

This is my last weigh-in until I return from vacation on the 16th. My goal is to at least maintain while I'm gone, any loss will be a bonus. The last time I went back home I gained horribly. Just can't resist my mom's cooking.
Congrats on the 180s kateleestar!!!! I'm trying to do what you just did. Whats your secret? haha.
Good luck joyc21! Home cooking is to die for, I can sympathize! I bet you'll surprise yourself pleasantly when you look at the scale on the 16th.

Well I was down to about 150.6... but then I kind of went off track? I ate really off-schedule yesterday and I'm not sure if I took in more calories that I should have, but it didn't turn out well, I guess. I'm ready to jump back on the horse. I've never been this motivated before.
Something I find is that when I work out (interval walk/run on the treadmill and weight training), I gain weight. I tire myself out and then gain weight. I lose more weight just having a normal eating day with no exercise. Should I stop working out? Maybe I should change something about the work out? I don't know, but it's always been like this, so I naturally work out a few times and then just stop because it appears to be more weight loss efficient. Any ideas?
My secret is to ... keep going. LOL. It's not really a secret, but its sometimes really hard to do.

How many days do you work out before you give up? If it's less than 2 to 3 weeks, you might be just holding on to water weight from going from zero workouts to interval training and lifting. This is where my secret comes into play, .... keep going! Let your body adapt before you change it again, see if it actually works before you stop.
kateleestar- I usually work out about 4 times tops before giving up. I'm just impatient, huh? I read your post this morning and I decided I would give it 3 weeks to shape up. So I ran today. Thanks for the advice!!
Hopefully I won't be facing a gain tomorrow... because I had dinner at my cousin's place tonight. She makes such good food... its not that I can't help myself, it's that I don't want to
My weight is inching down veeeeery sloooowly this week: 195.4 this morning. I am committed to being 100% on plan and upping my calorie burn (ugh running I hate you, but you're great for my behind) this week in the hopes of getting things moving a little more quickly. Still just about 3 pounds down for the month.

Great job everyone else! Katelee, congratulations on the 180s! I hope to be right behind you.
I'm not in this month, but some insight would be great....i started walking with my kids pushing them in the stroller 4 times a week maybe more.....my weight keeps flutuating terribly, up 4 to 5 pounds......i'm still eating well, its not TOM yet all i changed was i started walking more....any insight? thanks
Chrissy31- I guess like I was just told, you might be holding onto water weight because you just introduced new exercise.. maybe give it another week or two to let your body straighten out?

I've felt a little bit fed up this week, thinking I was going nowhere sometimes, but look at that! Right on time I'm down my 2 lbs, which is what I was shooting for in the first week. Fancy that!
Soon I will be 149, and I will PUSH BEYOND the dreaded 149! I have never made it below that weight in my plan so far. Please wish me luck. Sorry I've been posting so often...
