Hey Angie, good job starting the new thread!!!
Warning: There seems to be some guy out there Henryguy something posting on every thread about some site to click onto, I did not and will not for fear of what it might cause or be. Just thought I would give the heads up. I went to the first page of forums and saw he was the last to post on tons of pages.

I'm over here, now.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Thought I'd throw in something from "Make the Connection" (the book Oprah and Bob Greene wrote).

Oprah said:
"I've also learned what Glenda, the good witch, told Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz."

I say everyone should tell themselves the good witch's words every day. They were:

"You always had it. You always had the power."

S/C/G: wanna be 135

Height: 5'3"

Talking I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too...

That's my 2nd favorite quote from The Wizard of Oz

Thanks for sharing that Gar, I really believe Glenda too.
Sorry to hear about your mailbox, glad to hear the people and the deer were ok. "Wench" makes me think of some medieval servant maid wearing a low-cut too small peasant blouse carrying a cup of grog to a big, hairy, burly man. You know the kind you'd find on a romance novel w/Fabio on the cover?

Angie, good job on the loss! "Look what you've done! I'm melting, melting, ooohhhhhh......." Sorry, Gar got me stuck on thinking about the Wiz of Oz and now all these lines from the movie are spinning around in my head. Yes, it's early and no I haven't had any coffee yet.

Well, I'm still sitting here fooling around while I should be doing the laundry and stuff...so everyone, hope you have an awesome weekend. Have fun and be safe.

Way to go Angie!!!!!! Doesn't it feel so good to look back and see how far you've come. And Yay for the loss this week.

peekaboo - sounds like that was probably the 'porn bot' mentioned in the anouncement at the top of teh forums now.

Gar - how funny, your guy (9mm in hand) sounds just like my roommate. If we're not expecting someone.... he has a baseball bat to answer the door with. I feel bad for anyone that tries to break into our place, RM is paranoid and BF and I both collect knives.
Also the mailbox... not many people are that honest anymore. that's nice that they even cared to stop. And I agree, better the box than the deer. I've seen what a deer can do to car, not pretty.

... one of my neighbors, years ago, hit a cow on the highway and completely totaled her car. She was in the hospital for awhile but was ok. I think that she painted her new car like a spotted cow, we teased her so much.

So I got a pair of rollerblades @ the thrift store. I think that I might try them out today. I've only done it once before.... so wish me luck.

Way to go Angie!!! Great loss!!! The hard work sure pays off.

"THE WIZARD OF OZ" one of my all time favorite movies in the whole entire world. Yes, I love the classics. I think I'm getting old? Hubby and I were watching MTV special about the top 20 singers that got boycoted and the songs they sang...OMG they were from when I was in High School "1980 something!!!!'LOL Okay, I graduated in 87.

Hi girls! I found out why we had no power all morning. The building downtown that we used to rent and have a bakery front in burned to the ground and knocked out the electricity for my side of town. What a mess. they still have the whole street blocked off. I am sure they will keep it that way until they get it leveled.Sandy, it should be on the news tonight because I saw a crew out there when I headed to Bangor this morning.

I am glad they didn't hit the deer too. My husband has hit a few and it has caused some damage to our cars. We tripped a moose once. Luckily he kept running right over the back of the car and into the woods. Scared me half to death!

That is funny about the gun. I don't blame him nowadays. I found out that Rebel will protect me last night. Jay went out to get a flashlight since the power was out and when he came back into the bedroom with the flashlight on Rebel stood at the foot of the bed and growled at him until he said something. I am a proud mama!!! Imagine the sight of a 15 pound Jack Russell Terrier defending me while 2 40 pound Keeshond snore beside the bed.

Angie:
Guess your Keeshonds are the kind of watch dogs that watch and then snooze. <G>

Hubby and I had only been married a few years and had been gone for the day. When we got back, and he went into the house first, he came back out and said, "I think you better go in, Rusty didn't recognize me and he's in the dining room growling this low growl."
Rusty was our Ridgeback, and him growling in a room with tiled floors and stucco walls resonated like far away thunder. Ridgebacks have incredible volume capacity.
As soon as Rusty saw me, everything was back to normal.

While we were gone, he had jumped on the back porch door, and it had come open giving him run of the house. We had to find our cat later in the house who had hidden from Rusty. He wasn't a threat to her...he always wanted to play....but she despised him.
She's such a snob.
Our Classic Silver Tabby(who we didn't have yet when the above incident happened), Zeke, loved Rusty.....they got along great.

I can't remember what part of Maine Stephen King lives in, so I don't know if you're near there.
I always wondered if they did anything in particular to their house or lawn every Halloween.
Imagine ringing King's doorbell and saying "Trick or Treat".....

Do people from Maine really call themselves Mainiacs?
(too funny)
We were told this by someone who had moved down here from Maine, but we weren't sure if they were pulling our legs or not.

Hope your power is back on.

Am I the oldest one here?

Stephen King lives in Bangor. I go there every Saturday. We have driven by his house and he has a black iron fence all around his property with iron bats on it. CREEPY. I have never went by on Halloween but I'll have to do that some Halloween.

I don't call myself a Maineiac. But I guess that is what Mainers are called.

We have so much snow today. I hate snow!

I'm with Angie, been by Stephen Kings house and looks creepy, but I do love his movies.

I don't call myself a Mainiac either, but I guess thats what others call us.

Angie, we went to Agusta today to go to a party at the roller rink, I skated!!! Havent done that in 15 years or so and what a blast I had. We had to leave early though cause like you said the snow was bad, it took us 2 hours to get home, usually its a 40 minute drive. The roads were pure ice till we go closer to the coast and home. Here at my house it snowed a little and has been raining the rest of the time.

How was the movie (Home sweet Alabama?) I loved it!!! Even my hubby liked it. I guess I was feeling emotional cause I even cried at the dog thing!! Won't say to much incase someone else is waiting to see it. "One Hour Photo" was not as good as I thought it was gonna be, but it was okay. Getting ready to watch the other one.

Hugs to all,
Sandy

Evening Ladies. Typed a whole message, clicked on something, erased the whole thing. Now to summarize.

Congrats to Angie, who is indeed melting..... Great job, so now let's get a new pic huh? I wanna see the new you.

Weather today was georgeous,a nd I took a walk, after days of neglecting myself and the dog. Poor thing must've been holding it forever. Can't wait for nice weather, consistent nice weather. I love spring,a nd to walk outside, wihtout the many layers that make me feel like the mashmallow man.

Love the task of buying new summer clothes, and the idea that I'll have picture sof me at my goal weight... praying I look better in a bathing suit. Definitely holding out on that purchase. That's a big commitment.

So, this week was crazy, and I'm just getting used to being off work.. and then we're almost at Monday. Ugh. Glad we're all on track. .. Oh, we wrote our Dear Birthmother letter. Took forever, and a big stressful moment. But, to talk about how much we love each other, and how improtant a family is, really made me fall in love with husband again... okay okay, sappy.

Sandy, I have never been rollerskating. Sounds like fun. I have tried on the kids rollerblades but that was just to show my sister what a psycho Rebel is with rollerblades. He will try to bite and everything. He hates them.

It is snowing so bad up here still. I shouldn't complain because we haven't gotten half the snow we usually do but I really want spring. Boo Hoo for me. The roads are bad though.

Sweet Home Alabama was good but I didn't like My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I could have fallen asleep during it. That is too bad about One Hour Photo, I was hoping it would be good. Darn! 8 Mile comes out this month. I hope it is as good as the hype.

Speaking of Stephen King. The Langoliers still gives me the creeps. I loved that movie. I always remember it when we are by the airport when it was all empty. Spooky!

I know what you mean Chris about the nice weather. I can't wait until the riverwalk melts so I can walk the dogs again. Rebel is banned from town for taking a bite out of a kids rollerblades so I don't walk him in public.

Me and Jay were just talking about me buying some new clothes today but we are so broke and I am going to have to find about $3,000.00 by April 15. He wants me to go to Kmart. I like the Junior clothes they sell. I did grab a shirt out of my closet today that I had forgotten about and it fits so bonus for me.
