I am just like you... I expect to lose 2 lbs per week, and I don't. Then I get discouraged. I'm really trying to avoid that by weighing myself only once per month (or so), instead of every week.
I think a huge point is to drink water. All I keep hearing about is water, water, water... apparently, if your body is dehydrated, it'll keep on the weight like no tomorrow. So try to boost your hydration. Otherwise, I think you're doing fine. You could try to lower your calories by 100, but dont' give your body too much of a shock from what it was used to.
Good luck!!!

You really are doing fine.

If I remember correctly, 1-2 pounds a week, on average, is good.

Average, being the key word. There are many factors involved in weight loss.

One thing that helped me, was to weigh each morning, under the same circumstances, I write the weight on a calendar above my scale. I do think about the weight and what I did or did not eat or drink the last days, TOM, stress, etc. But the big goal was, when I turn the page to a new month, as long as I was trending down, 4-6 pounds a month, it's all good.

I do track all of my food and exercise, so I could take the calendar and go to my tracker and pinpoint, food, hormones, stress, water retention from hard workouts and so on.

While it may seem a bit compulsive, in the end, I learned how my body works, and how to work with my body.

I've been maintaining since September. I still weigh every morning, put it on the calendar, check my tracker, and so on. My weight varies on "average" 0-3 pounds. Just depends on the quality/quantity of food, exercise, stress, and so on.

As long as I'm staying in my range, it's all good. I'll be up tomorrow because I hit the weights hard today. Sore muscles retain water for muscle repair. That's ok. It will go away by Monday.

You lost a net amount of 8 pounds in 7 weeks. Just over a pound a week. (I'm not sure where a previous poster got 1.94 pounds a week) and there was a major holiday week involved, so that should be figured in. You had 2 weeks where you gained, but lost or held steady in 5 weeks. I'd say you're doing well. You have to figure in TOM, too, I assume.

Track things over a longer period of time, as was suggested. That steady downward line will keep you motivated. Good luck.

Your doing an amazing job. 1+ pound a week is a great rate to lose. Like everyone said, you will fluctuate every day and whats important is seeing results over time. Here's my weekly weight:

Monday, Nov 7th-202.2
Monday, Nov 14th- 197.2 .-5
Monday Nov 21- 200.8 + 3.6
Tuesday Nov 29-200 -.8
Tuesday Dec 6- 195.8 -4.2
Monday- Dec 12- 194.8 -1
Monday Jan 2 - 191.4 -3.4
Monday Jan 9th, 189 -2
Monday Jan 16th -192 + 3

Total is 10.2 Pounds lost, in an average of 11 weeks with an average loss of .8-.9 a week. Don't put to much emphasis on a certain number each week because you'll drive yourself crazy. :P

Good luck
