Smile I Need a Buddy....

Here are my stats:

- 38 yr old
- single Mom
- 2 kids (5 and 7)
- starting weight 237.6
- current weight 237.6
- goal weight 130
- I plan to count calories and work out (no specific diet plan)

I am looking for a buddy to go through this journey with. I am willing to give a lot of support in exchange for the same. Let me know if you are interested.

You should read through some of the threads and challenges and jump on one. Some of them have quite a bit of support where people share not only their weight loss struggles, but also personal stuff.

You can decide where you might fit. They are all very welcoming places. I think that is where many people find individual buddies too, as you get to know people and may find someone who has your goals or has something in common with you. This is a great place to be.

I'm on a daily accountability thread and a Valentine Challenge and the people are wonderful. I'm pretty new too - 1 month.

Hi, we must have been thinking of the same thing at the same time, wow! I haven't even fixed my profile yet but I think I could use your help too.
I am 37 (fixing to be 38)
Very happily married for 18 years
have 3 children (13, 10, and 9)
Have high blood pressure (June 2011)
Ok, just weighed myself and the scale says 177.8
I am 5'4" tall
I wear an xl shirt and a between a size 14-16 pants
I don't want to put a goal to it yet (no disappointments)
I have it in my mind to start working on it, but didn't want to pay for encouragement so I went online today to look for help and found 3fatchicks.com which I think I am thankful for.
I normally will tell everyone I know that I am going to lose x amount of pounds, or I bet you I can lose x amount of pounds before you; and I normally end up dissappointing myself and whoever I told. I am really embarrassed by my situation. I am blessed and I know it, but my body is LAZY!!
I can say all of this because I don't know you and maybe this will make it better. Ok I will buddy with you if you will buddy with me.
Do I need to make a goal?
Hope we can help each other in this "JOURNEY"!

How about we all be buddies together! We can share email addresses or just buddy here. But we can do this together right!
I am going to start tomorrow with a weekend body cleanse. Hopefully this is not a mistake!
Please keep me on track, I am not telling my family or friends this time, I am doing this for ME... because I am worth it and so are you!

And this is funny, there is an ad to the right of this page right now. It is an ad for fatfx "What would you look like fat? Click here" Well heck all I have to do is go to the nearest window. Why not "what would you look like thin?" I am just saying!

That sounds great!!

I did a weekend body cleanse with my fiance last weekend and it worked really well. It made me feel really vital and it has helped me, somehow, not eat as much. My stomach probably shrunk back down to a reasonable size while I was cleansing, but it's a good feeling!
We had a lot of vinegar in our cleanse (luckily I love vinegar). What parts of your cleanse are you excited about?

It is very nice to e-meet you too! I have never done this e-meet thing before. Have always been afraid of who I am really talking to. You are not a perverted man are you? lol...
I would love to email back and forth, hopefully it will give me some inspiration to get going. I think I am looking forward to just not feeling so bad. I have been in a bad place lately, even thought about purging, and that to me is yucky! Really have thought about it though.

I have a name for our little group, corney, but appropriate: fat2fitbuddies, funny huh. Anytime we email each other we can put that in the subject and we know we will get motivated!
My first goal starting Monday is going to be no eating after 7:30 pm. I am a closet eater so I eat when I put my kids to bed!
I will try my best to post back everyday and I hope that my 3 new friends can do the same.

Default I just realized something

1-14-12
WEIGHT TODAY 175.6
But that is me I go from 174-178 from day to day. Now this is what I just realized. I said that I have 3 children, right? Well this morning I told my kids to go ahead and make themselves some breakfast. That was more for my benefit though, to keep me out of the kitchen. That is my weak point. I start cooking and I pick the whole time, bad bad bad... So my daughter goes in and makes her some apple and cinnamon oatmeal and she adds brown sugar. Well not just 1 spoon but 3 spoons of brown sugar. I then started to explain to her that all that sugar she is putting in that oatmeal is what is dragging her down all the time. They eat sweets and junk and I try to hold them accountable, but then I thought: Stupid! When I made my coffee this morning I put sugar in my coffee, not 1 spoon but 3 (not near as much as she did but it is the same thing). OMG, I am the reason they eat that way, and if I am going to hold them accountable I need to be accountable...
Ok, I am going to change my clothes from pjs to work clothes and we are going outside to do some yard work!!
I hope I have inspired you 3 to do the same...

I just wandered in here and want to encourage all of you to do well and keep each other on track. However - don't post full emails in your posts. You'll set yourselves up for tons of spam. Send private messages to exchange email addresses. Then email any other personal info you want to share.

You'll all be surprised at how much support you'll find in 3fc in general. I wish you the best luck A support system really does help.
