I got to go for a walk today with DH. Then it was back home for day 2 of coloring DD's hair. Man, I'm zonked. It takes a lot of arm strength to do hair! She now officially has jet black hair with super red bangs. I swear she better not be sent home from school like DS was when I colored his tips. It takes hours to bleach and color. I'm tired. I hope the scale shows progress tomorrow. We'll see. I hope you all have a great week

Still in a funk. I don't know why... probably the scale's meanness I suppose. Raked for 90 minutes today and bagged leaves (my workout). I don't know why I'm cursing them so much. I guess it is better to be working out by doing work that needs to be done instead of bouncing around in the gym, but raking is just not doing it for me!

My Calorie count today was good at only 979 for the day. It seems like I am finally getting back into my old groove. The last couple of days have felt good to be back in control for a change!!

Sodium was little high due to using Frank's Hot Sauce. 1967 mg today. I will take that compared to some recent days which were astronomical.

I got my yard decorated for Christmas and It looks nice if I do say so myself.
DW likes it so that is a plus.

"If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it probably needs a little more time in the microwave."

Calories are a bit low Larry - especially for a man, so be careful. I'm feeling good to get some work done in the yard and kept calories under 1500 today.

Hi Everyone!

Mamakat It's time for my monthly touch up of the grays. Wanna come over?

Berry Sorry about the funk. I woke up in a funk, too. I was thinking about how quickly Thanksgiving and the long weekend flew by. It's time to go back to work, already.

Larry I agree with Berry about your calories.

Yes it is too low but my plan is stay a low a couple of days to reset the binge habit I was starting. Then I will go back to the 1200-1500 range. Closer to 1500 which has worked for me.

Melissa and Diana Thanks for caring It is great to have cyber friends who really care.

Larry Have you been feeling snacky since eating off plan on Thanksgiving? I have issues with that when I eat off plan. Sometimes I don't think it's worth it.

Yep me too. Today is the first day I was able to avoid a small snack to keep from feeling like I was starving. I only ate big on THursday, but THREE days afterwards I was feeling snacky! I hate that!

The desire has been really strong to snack but I have been fighting it. The funny thing was I was starting to snack a lot the couple of days before Thanksgiving. Maybe it was in anticipation of the upcoming holiday dinner?? I don't know but I had to break that habit fast so I did not return to my former eating pattern.

Thankfully I believe that I have been successful because the snacking desire is greatly reduced today. The only snack I have allowed myself today was 15 red grapes as an afternoon snack.

I ate one serving of pretzels today. I never eat pretzels and wouldn't waste my time on them. It's just not something that I eat. I felt if I didn't eat them, I would eat something so much worse. So, I guess what I ate was better than the alternative and I was still in a good range.

I woke up this morning not wanting to go back to work tomorrow. But, I'm thinking getting back to my regular routine is a good thing.

Hang in there, everyone! We are strong and we will get past these cravings.

Cool

Diana -- Your idea may be the best thing for me. I can do routine. With so much in my life in flux and unreliable, unpredictable, eating the same thing (in rotation) could work. I will try to look into that.

ItsMyTurn How would you like to fly, business or first-class?

Good Morning Everyone,

Up early, DH is off to New Boston for three days and for some reason my brain wanted to wake up with him. Hopefully I'll get a nap sometime between dropping off kids and picking them up. I've got a lot of doctor appts to set up, schools are nagging me every week for physical updates

Diana as much as I do hair (here in this family) you would think it was my chosen career. I actually have a cosmetologist friend who suggested I get into it, just be a person who colors hair all day. Not sure that's the career for me But I love doing it.

I've been on the hungry side since Thanksgiving. I'm not overeating or eating bad foods, but I noticed yesterday I ate two meals within 30 mins of each other. Even DH noticed. I was hungry

I also noticed as I took off my polish for this weeks color that my nails have changed once again. They are the window to my health and it looks as though I have to check in with my hematologist sometime this week. They are so long and so strong now so I know I'm finally getting enough calcium and vitamin D and all the vitamin Bs so that's good news. Anemia though is the trouble, so got to keep up on that. Hopefully it's nothing and if it is, it's not that big of deal...just sitting in a room hooked to an IV for a couple of hours once or twice a week for two weeks. I don't like the new treatments, they are long and boring and I have to sit around 40mins after they are done to make sure all is safe...but if it must be done, it must be done. I don't mess around with it, it sneaked up on me last year and nearly took my life, so I'll call once everyone wakes up

I hope you all have a wonderful and healthy day.
