Question Weight and inches confusion!

Hiya! I'm hoping someone would be able to shed some light for me...

Last night I cleared out my bedroom and found an old diary from April 2010 and it had in it my arm and waist measurements with my weight. I was 20 pounds lighter then what I am now but the 2 measurements are the same as I am now!

This confused me quite a lot, has this happened with anyone else? Does this mean that I'm holding onto 20 lbs of weight in other places?

The only way I am going to fail is if I give up.

You probably have more muscle now than you did then, so you weigh heavier but are equally small.

For every 5 pounds lost:

As well as the muscle thing, people lose from different body areas at different times. Maybe you lose from your waist and arms early on, and after that the weight from your hips and thighs starts to shift. And maybe you hold the measuring tape more loosely these days!
