For my height, I hit the normal bmi range at about 188 pounds. So for my goal I picked 195, as I want to be under 200, but I don't HAVE to be in the 'normal' range exactly to feel like a success, kwim? I've been obese my entire adult life, so just under 200 feels great to me. And I'll make 200 my 'drop dead' mark that I can't go over.
I have a feeling you don't have to be at 175 to hit the normal bmi - you're also very tall. If you also have a large frame, you could weigh even higher and still fit in the 'normal' range based on your frame size. Again though, you're the best judge... see where you feel the best and if going any lower (and all the work it entails) is worth the additional payoff.
