I did the exact same thing: lost 100#, and then gained back almost 50#. Like you I am back again and determined to get all the way down to goal and maintain.

As others mentioned, the positive thing is that you didn't gain back all the weight so you are not stating at square one and you definitely know you can do it. Plenty of people gain back all the weigh they lost and gain more besides.

You are not alone I am back again in week 2 -- but I remember how much better I felt and how much happier...I however waited till I regained it all to rejoin and start again! you are not that far and you can reach you goal again! I know because I am going to -- last time it took me over a year--this time I am praying and trying by the day...but when it become a habit it will be easier (it seemed much easier last time)

Good Luck-

Thanks, everyone for the warm welcomes! I know I need to work on getting rid of the shame, and learning to love myself and it's one more thing I am working on. Taking it one day at a time

I'm used to swallowing my pride- I heard it's quite nutritious and surprisingly low in calories

most people have regained ALL they lost, sometimes more, when they come back. So good for you for stopping this RIGHT NOW and turning things around. You obviously know what to do, to lose over 100 lbs - now you are recommitting to YOURSELF to get back to where you were and to keep putting YOURSELF first - you deserve it!

welcome back!! i'm sorry to hear that you regained some, but you are on the right track for reigning it in! you should feel proud of yourself for not allowing all of the pounds to seep back on, and for finding your way back to us.

Default Don't stop

Losing weight is hard....keeping it off is harder. When I first started, I was 272 pounds. My initial goal was 199. I had gotten down to 207....THEN the holidays came and THEN my mom was diagnosed with cancer. While I was taking care of her....I stopped going to the gym and didn't watch what I ate at ALL. Before I knew it, I was back up to 229. Somehow....getting the gained weight off is SOOOOOOOO much harder than the first time but I am determined to get there.

Don't beat yourself up....Let's just do it!!!! Stay positive.
