Welcome to 3FC!

Happy to have you join us on your journey

Take your time and look around, there are so many members here that enjoy reaching out and helping each other.

There's even a South Beach Diet area under Diet Central where you can talk with others who've been following the program.

Best of wishes!

Welcome and good luck on your journey!

As far as the hunger goes, I just try to embrace it. Yes, eating more fiber and more protein definitely helps, but I think there are just times where you're going to be hungry... and I tell myself that that feeling is my body changing. I go try on a pair of 'goal' pants and tell myself that every day I'm closer.

You can do it, give yourself a month and see how much you'll accomplish!

I could use a little motivation. I seem to start out every day on the right track, then I get home and want to eat NON-STOP until I go to bed. RIDICULOUS! I have given myself at least a dozen pep-talks over the past week, and still...chowing down.
My winter vacay is fast approaching...I need to be swimsuit-ready.

The most important thing anyone can do is educate themselves as to how fat loss actually happens and you're in luck I'm going to tell you right now.

If you consume less energy than your body needs to function it will draw from it's energy reserves to make up the difference.

Energy is measured in calories.

The body's energy reserves are called fat.

So no matter what "diet" you're following the reason you lose weight is because calories are being restricted.

Everything else is secondary to this basic princinple.

Keep reading, keep learning. Experiment with different things. Bottom line for most people comes down to eating fewer processed foods and more whole foods.

Very simple. Not always easy.

Goodluck
