Default Anyone around 5'4 and 175-190lbs?

Would you mind telling me your dress size?

My husband will be home at the end of October and I'm hoping to be 185 by then. And of course being the girl that I am I've already started fantasizing about the first time he sees me again.

I know every body is different but I'd like to get a general idea of what size I might be in by then. Is an 11/12 unrealistic? I have a really cute dress that I bought on clearance years ago that I think would be perfect to wear to pick him up, but considering the fact that I haven't been anywhere near that size in a long time, I have no clue if it would fit at that weight if I make it there.

Just curious, even if it will fit I might find something I like better, but I found it in the back of my closet today and it got me wondering.

I'm 5 ft 3.5 (yes, that half matters! ), and I'm guesstimating my weight to be about 180-185 (too afraid to really weigh myself). I can wear some 12's (a bit snug), but at the beginning of this summer, I finally had to break down and buy some 14's in shorts (one impetus for me to get back on track).

But you said your dress is 11/12, and 11 is a junior size, right? If so, that may not be doable since junior sizes are cut smaller than misses sizes.

I wore a size 16 at 180 lbs and I am muscular and am 5'5, so I don't understand the size thing at all. lol

Yeah, probably why it's silly for me to even ask. There is no way to tell since I've never been there before. Oh well, I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks for the replies everyone!

Oh, I did want to mention that my sister is about 180 and 5 ft. 2, and she can wear some 10's. It's because she is really into weight lifting, so her size is smaller even though she weighs more. So, you could try hitting the weights. You might tighten up enough to wear that dress!

Good luck!

I'm 175(ish) and 5'5" and I comfortably wear a size 12 jean and the occasional 10.

Several years ago I was 157 and I wore a 12 then too, but I'm a lot more muscular now, so even though I'm 20 pounds heavier, I wear the same size! So of course that goes to show that it might be irrelevant, but you never know.

Your body type will have a lot to do with it as well. For example, I can sometimes wear a size 10 jean, but dresses (fitted with a zipper, vs. something more stretchy/flowy) can sometimes be a 14 because of my chest and broad back.

Bottom line-- let that dress be your motivator, but even if it doesn't fit when the time comes, go buy yourself one that you like even better as a reward for all of your hard work!

I'm 25 years old, 5'4" and 181lbs. I just went to Old Navy and bought some cute XL (size 14) skirts and Large shirts from Old Navy. They have really cute clothes in ALL sizes.

I HATE being a 14. I remember growing up and seeing my mom's jeans, a size 12, and being shocked because they were so big. Even now I look at my underwear and even though I buy cute styles, they look so BIG! I feel like that big black girl in the movie Roadtrip with her ginormous leopard print thong lol

I know I'm 5'2", but at 180 pounds I wore a size 14. I have a big butt, though. Not sure how you are shaped. I can wear a size 10 right now.

Kim good to see you again. I'm 5'3 and 3/4 and when I got down to 165 last year I could wear a comfortable 12 dress and looked really good. Now I bounce from 173 (mainly 175) to 180 and the 12's don't look good at all but the 14's don't look bad. I tried on a 16 and they are definitely too big.

Hang that dress up where you can look at it daily ...

My husband just bought me a dress two weeks ago that is really cute. It has a wrap around look but it's just bunched at one side. I tried it on last Sunday for church and it looked horrible. I look pregnant again so my goal is to wear this dress and look great in it. It's hanging outside of everything so I can see it constantly.

Best of luck to you

I'm only 5'2, but at 175 I wore a 14/16. I wear my weight horribly though!
