In terms of breakfast, I make a greek yoghurt and fruit smoothie after I come back from running because I'm never really hungry. You can even buy the pure fruit smoothies in a carton (just make sure there's nothing else added) and add 100 mls and 100gs of plan yoghurt and mix it together in a glass or mug.

Update:

Thank you all for your ideas and comments.

As of this week I have stocked the kitchen full of healthier meal items, and while I am not the only one eating them, I am aware that I can always go back to the store and purchase more with low cost... since we have decided as a family to cut much of the unhealthy foods out of our home food supply.

The patriarch and my mum have been going to get fast food less, but when they crave it they have agreed not to bring me any back... I don't need that temptation, as it isn't something I would go out and purchase myself anyhow.

I have taken up the task of cooking several of the meals a week, last night I made home made Armenian rice pilaf, red snapper, steamed veggies (onions, zuchinni, two types of mushrooms and bellpeppers), freshly steamed mussles, and garlic bread.

For the first week I have fish in mind mostly, because it is something my step father seems to love, and it's healthy for the family. Salmon will be the day after tomorrow, and tonight we are having Armenian Kebabs.

Thank you all again, so much. You gave me the courage to speak with my mother on the subject, which in turn made her speak to her husband about what is going to be in the house from now on.
