Good Morning! Have a fantastic day!

We had some pretty bad storms last night that kept me awake. At my house, they were mainly noise. I am hearing reports that the area where we ate last night had baseball sized hail and people had broken windows. I think I need the coffee IV this morning! I think I have rid myself of the Mother's Day gain. We'll see what happens. You know how it goes, you eat at a different restaurant and you can end up like a sponge sitting in water.

Ah, nevermind. Amending my weightloss for today. I just had to go to teh bathroom before breakfast, so that added another .4 to the loss today. I think I'm dropping that water.

Congratulations to DianaLA! I am so proud for you and I know how special reaching that milestone is!

Beery had a loss, Larry had a loss, Jo had a loss.... I am not part of that exclusive club. Of course I am the exact same I have been for 10 days now! 175. I am just going to keep pushing through. Something has to give eventually. It really must be water - if it is true about sore muscles retaining water. Michael increased my weights and we lifted a lot yesterday. My Quads are still sore from Monday and now through my back, shoulders and biceps are sore. I definately have very sore muscles. Nonetheless I will be going to the gym for spin class and pilates. In between I might just do some leaisurely walking on the treadmill. There is 45 minutes inbetween the two class I like today.

What my menu for the week looks like so far:

**5/09**
B - Yogurt (150), craisins (35) =185
L - Potluck at work (800-ish because I do not know what went into everything)
S - Adobo (100), strawberries (145), rice crackers (38) = 283

Total = 1268 (-ish)

**5/10**
B - Oatmeal (150), Yogurt (100), craisins (35) = 285
L - Tuna (120), brown rice (100), furikake (25) = 245
S - Two apples (180)
D - Piece of blueberry blast (4), Chicken tikka masala x 2 (600)

Total = 1314

I only exercised fifteen minutes yesterday because it was sweltering due to a heatwave, and I did not exercise the five days before that due to a festival I went to and the preperations leading up to it, but I did do a lot of walking! And I still dropped weight!

It almost seemed like I lost weight more quickly during those five days than when I exercised. I guess my body just needed a rest from the nightly rounds I had been putting it through.

Stacy - sore muscles DEFINITELY hold water. But that doesn't mean you should quit working out so hard, it just means your body is working it out. You ARE losing fat. It will come off on the scale soon, very soon.

I will SOON be in the 2 weeks where I bounce around 1-2 pounds. Even when you KNOW you are doing everything right and you know it's water, it's still hard to see the same number on the scale day in and day out. Chin up! The scale will drop soon!

Good morning, everyone!

First, some personals...

Berry: I know you posted the photos a couple of days ago, but I have to say…you look great! I wish I could be out there gardening, too. I’ve been so desperate to do some, that I came home on my lunch hour, changed, did a little gardening, changed back, and went back to work. Oh, well. BTW, I’m looking forward to hearing that you’re in the 210s…that water weight’s gotta come off soon.

Jomatho: way to go on all that running! …And the NSV! Since you didn’t gain with TOM, I wonder if you’re going to have a whoosh soon.

Jendiet: Congratulations on your new baby!!! I’m with Diana in LA, I must have missed the announcement, or maybe you’ve been just too beat to post one. I hope you and your SO worked out the name issue.

Still: WTG on getting (almost) halfway! And, aawww, give your little guy a hug for me. You know, our kids don't have their heads as filled with media images of women, and so they can be a lot more realistic than we are about how we look.

Shells: Chinese food has massive amounts of sodium. Just give your body a day or two!

StacyGee: You’ve been working out a LOT, and your body has lots of adjustments it needs to make to release the weight. Just give it time…and make sure you have time to enjoy the other parts of your life. This from a woman who is trying to find some time to just vegetate…Sorry to hear you’re feeling grumpy. Don’t stop posting, okay? I wonder if everyone is out trying to enjoy some nice weather. Where I am it’s fiiinnnnaaallllyyy turned a little summery.

Sum: Sorry to hear you’ve been in pain.
Vixsin: Sorry to hear about the tires, and the crash. Glad your landlord is supporting you. Hang in there!

DianaLA: I’m guessing you’re right, that you might need to eat a bit more. How do you feel? Weak or dizzy? Those things might be a clue….I just read your post about onederland!!: woohoo: That’s fantastic!!! I’m sooo happy for you!

DTermined: I weigh myself buck naked, before breakfast. No way am I going to let clothes boost my weight. Heck, I’d pull off the rings if it were easier to do!

Novel: Yes, you can do it. You probably know all the stuff about planning ahead, you know, choosing a good restaurant and stuff. Will your family be supportive? Or are they going to try to stuff you with food? Hope you’re feeling better…I’ve been thinking of you.

Pint: you’ve been working out sooo much. That P90X stuff is hard! You know, your body needs recovery days, so it can benefit from the workouts, so you are not losing out on *anything* by giving your body a break. That’s the time when your body rebuilds your muscles, and actually delivers your new level of fitness.

Diana3271: I hope you’re safe, and that the huge hailstorm didn’t materialize. Take care

Larry, AKA Miracle Man 75 pounds since January! Man, if you turn sideways and stick out your tongue, they’ll think you’re a zipper, you’re getting so slim!

So, I've been working out really hard. I did a 90 km bike ride on Sunday to build up my endurance for events later in the summer. I rode with my bike club last night for two hours, and it was nasty... really strong wind. My legs are screaming for recovery. So today I won't be working out, and I have to eat some recovery foods. Not sure what they are, but I'll figure that out.

A big part of me wants to say I'm in maintenance now. Not sure.

I'll check in later, but it'll be late tonight. I run a program on Wednesdays, and I don't finish until 10 pm. Have a great day, everyone!

I go through that stage, too. It's normally around TTOM. Most people have whooshes after but I don't. It's funny, I get paranoid during TTOM, then my body does all these crazy things. After all this time, 3+ years, I still feel like I'm doing something wrong and I'm just going to start gaining. Then that phase passes and I'm OK.

roadbikerchick Yes, everything was ok with the storms. Maybe try maintenance for a couple weeks or month to see how you feel.

"Man, if you turn sideways and stick out your tongue, they’ll think you’re a zipper, you’re getting so slim!" roadbikerchick, this made me chuckle out loud! Thanks for the laugh....I needed that this morning!

diana3271
Glad you're safe after your weather. It always makes me soooo nervous when it's stormy outside.

stacygee, I'm with berryblondeboys......you're doing everything right. I know the scale isn't moving for you just from all the working out you're doing......I bet you're doing some serious toning, though! You'll be glad you're doing that! And the scale has eventually GOT to move.......please, please don't get discouraged....take comfort in the fact that you're doing everything you can possibly do for a positive outcome....and then just try to be patient and wait for it....it WILL come.

berryblondeboys, your pics are AMAZING!! Do you remember the Ivory soap commercials? You remind me of the women who used to do those commerical.....you just look "Ivory pure".....you are beautiful!!

chubbypanda, great to see you!! Looks like you're doing well with eating AND losing the weight!! Congrats!!

199.0 for me this morning.

Okay, so I have to spend my day off making wings (for a firefly costume) today. Guess I'm headed to WalMart for supplies. Wish me luck....I have the imagination and creativity of a brick (my poor daughter ) This should be interesting!

Have a GREAT on target day everyone!!

Hi Everyone!

My soreness from the hard workouts is starting to go away. I just walked around the park halfway last night to meet a friend for dinner. I think my muscles are holding water BIG TIME!

I'm feeling very anxious today, having a hard time catching my breath.

____________

Melissa - I cannot believe all of the landscaping you are doing. I want to see a LOT of pictures when you are done. It sounds like paradise. I think you are holding water in your muscles if you are sore and aren't losing.

Gaining - WOOT WOOT!! Welcome to ONEDERLAND! I'm so so happy for you!

Jo - Congrats on the NSV and the LOSS! I don't think I could run up those bleachers. That's incredible!

Sum - Hope you are feeling better! Miss you!

k9 - Aww!!! I'm glad to hear you had a FABULAIRE day! LOLOL!!

Larry - You are such an inspiration to me MIRACLE MAN!!

Still - Aww...that's a sweet NSV!!

Diana - Glad to hear you are ok and that the storms weren't too bad.

Stacy - Don't get down my fellow 170s buddy!! You are working out super hard...building muscle...soreness...holding water in those muscles. It will break eventually. I'm sending you a million

Road - 90km HOLY COW!!! How long did that take? I bet you are sore today. My friend told me the other day that bananas are a good recovery food.

Toadbikerchick ha! Ha! Just saw my
Computer corrected it to toad biker chick... I'm leaving it because it's cute and I know you have a good sense of humor... 90 kilometers followed by a strong wind 2 hour ride... Holy smokes. I BET your legs arer screaming at you! Wow!

Still I love little kids compliments... Or old people's as they are both pretty uncensored. I love that to my 6 year old i'm the most beautiful woman in the world. Treasure those moments! And I love your new profile pic!

Jomatho woohoo on that drop in the scale! That's almost two full pounds!

Diana3271 sorry you lost sleep due to the storms, but glad it was just noise and not damage that made you lose it.

Diana in la so glad that you saw the 199 on your scale this morning. Not sure I'm next, zoodoo is closer and with the way Larry is speeding on down, we'll see! And thank you so much for the compliment. I have decided I have squandered my 20s and 30s with being fat. I'm reclaiming the rest of my 40s to be the time for me to shine. I've always been so uncomfortable with my body and looks... Now I'm going to squeeze out what's left before gravity totally takes over and I have great motivation to wear the same size clothes and to weigh the same or less than my mil. She has been very vocal about her dislike of my weight.... So to be smaller than her would be so healing for me. Especially since I'll never weigh less than my husband.

Novelista glad you are less sore and boy you sure have a nice network of friends to draw from. That is really nice!

At panera as Sonja is at the podiatrist. Just ate 660 calories for lunch! Yikes! Oh well... It wass good and had protein, so could have been worse. Working in the garden when I get home to burn it all off.

Had to go back and edit as the iPad has a mind of it's own when it comes to editing!

Down .2 to 193.8. I'm sticking to 194 like glue right now and holding onto that random water I gained. I have my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed to see the 180's when the whooshes come back.

Amazing workout last night. It felt so good to run. It was too short but so great. I really pushed my envelope at the end of it. I'm sore today but it feels good!!!! My friend Bill is supposed to come over on Friday and take a look at my light in the backyard. Hopefully we'll be able to get it replaced with the new ballpark stadium lighting fixture that I bought. LOL

I need to get some work done. I'll check back at lunch time.

3 mile run is done, whew, I am feeling a little tired again today! I hope it passes soon so I can get some stuff done around here.

Stacy, I know it sucks when the scale doesn't move! Especially when you are doing everything right! And it is easy to be the person to tell you it will happen, just keep at it, but thats what I have to tell you too. Try switching something up, drink an extra 20 ounces of water or when you drink most of your water, or change up your dinner, or the time you eat. But again, I have to add the disclaimer that taking advice from me may not be wise, as my weight loss slowed waaaaaay down in April! Mostly I just want to cheer you on, because you will succeed, heck, you are already a success! It just never happens as fast as we want it. Sending you lots of

Novel, anxiety sucks! Hope you feel better soon.

Gaining, for onderland sticking and good luck with that costume. What's it for?

Roadbiker, your bike rides sound tough!

Chubbypanda , hello
