- Go walk up and down a flight of stairs.

- Step out side and take a few deep breaths... oh wait - you are down in FL (I am in CT - the weather IS AWESOME here today) is it too hot to take deep breaths?

- Read some success stories on here of people who have reached goal

- Go online and look up some new recipes

- Remember... you can eat something LATER that is healthy.

Good job resisting.

This is why I was much less successful on the standard eat 5-6 times a day plan because I was always hungry and therefore always thinking about food.

Now I eat only 2-3 times a day but when I eat the meals are more substantial. I might get a little hungry close to my next meal but it is easy to ignore because I know a big meal is right around the corner.

Something to think about.

Next time you are out grab a few packs of chewing gum and stash them at work.

I just had to have a piece due to a midafternoon 'snack attack'.

Drinking something WARM usually helps me. I always keep lemon juice and honey at the office. Works for me!

Hi,

I realize the "snack attack" is over, but definitely putting a few things in your desk for such an occasion is a really good idea. Here are a few things I stash. A few tea bags, small bottle of honey, 1 or 2 granola type bars. Dried fruit (I usually use apricots, eat one or two with lots of water). I almost always pack a banana, even if I don't plan to eat it, they always fill me up. A "snack" size zip lock bag with pretzels or nuts or trail mix.

I actually keep a few dark chocolate kisses in my purse, this saved me one day at the grocery store (I went when I was really hungry and was putting everything in the cart . . . I stopped myself, put the choc kiss in my mouth and slowly let it melt in my mouth and then turned around and put all the junk in my cart back on the shelves . . . just whatever works for you
