Thank you nola and all the other curve loving girls!

  • just a big shout out and thanks to all those posts reminding us to love ourselves and our curves!
  • haha, I tried to "like" this. Ahh facebook.
  • Curves deserve love--mine, yours, everyone's! You couldn't have Marilyn Monroe, Dita von Teese, Christina Hendricks, or Jessica Rabbit without 'em.

I'll be happy to remind everyone every day that a curvy body is beautiful. Write it on your mirror in lipstick, leave yourself a note in your lunch bag, tape a Post-it to your computer, but remind yourself regularly that you're gorgeous.

Whether you look more like a Rubens, a Modigliani, or a Giacometti, you're still a work of art.
  • I love it, Nola! Great sentiment!
  • I needed this!! I often think I look great one day and then remember that I'm still "fat" so I don't look as good as I could. I need to stop thinking that way and love my body whether I'm 220 or 125 (of course, loving my body isn't going to stop me from getting down to 125 to love it a little bit more )
  • "Fat" and "hot" are SO not opposites. I won't say they're always synonyms either, but you know...I know too many hot fat people (or fat hot people) to think that they're exclusive.

Yeah, I'll look better to myself when I see a little less of me, but the difference is more like the no-makeup me and the makeup me. The former still looks good, but if I want to look my best, I need to put forth some effort and time; that's what I'm doing by losing weight.

Doesn't mean I can't still love the look of no-makeup me in the meantime, though.
  • I'm all about curvy. I have no plans on losing all of them. Yay, curves!
