You must have just made a mistake on the chest measurement- at least that's my guess. What size bra do you wear? Unless you went from a size 46 to 38 then I'm thinking that you made a mistake.

As long as your measurement spotw are the same every week, where you take them doesn't matter. it's consistency. Now, if you were taking measurements for a dressmaker or to order clothes, that's different. Bust/chest is over boobs in a bra. Waist is your natural bend area, for most people that's an inch above the belly button. Hip measurement is your widest part of your hip, usually across your lower buttocks just before your legs start.

And I think your measurements must be a bit off for the rib cage. Your waist measurement is big because it's part of your hips already (so not your smallest spot). But as I said, consistency of measuring the same spot each time is what matters.

Nope I wasn't confused- right under the bust, that's where the number on the bra sizing comes from unless I'm mistaken. SO a 38C means that the area underneath your breasts measure 38". So unless you went fro ma 46 whatever to a 38 whatever bra size then I think you just made a mistake measuring.

Right. Your bra size is derived from your underbust measurement compared to the around the bust measurement. The amount of difference in that number relates to your cup size on your bra.

I am currently a 34DD because my underbust is 34 inches and my around the bust is right at 40 inches.

If you had dropped 8 inches from that area there is no way you could be wearing the same underclothes. It's not possible, unless you are basically dropping the bra over your arms and letting it just hang there.

Bras need to be changed about every two inches, thus sizes tend to run by even numbers. If you want to see a practical example of that, go to a store and pick up a 46 bra, and compare that to a size 38 bra.

I think that the first time you measured was the incorrect one. In fact, according to body shape standards, I'm almost sure of it. There are many types of body shapes, but there are some basics that are true for the human shape in general.

Alright thanks guys, I was starting to think the first measurement was the wrong one. My bra is only hanging a little so if anything I lost an inch, maybe two.

I had someone else measure by the way XD
