The last two weeks have been easy schmeasy. No cravings, not really hungry, easy to get exercise in and while the scale wasn't going at rocket speed, it was going down. Then, within a day I went from that to HUNGRY and having cravings. Thus, I can tell I have ovulated (and other signs agree).
It's amazing actually. My metabolism has this on and off switch. And it makes sense, your basal body temp goes up after ovulation which means your metabolism speeds up. Pregnancy is the same for me, I can eat like crazy and I'll weigh a lot less after pregnancy than before. (both pregnancies I was overweight start out with).
So, what that means, is taht these are the two weeks for me where it really counts. I have to get the exercise in and I have to eat for hunger and not have 'excessive days'. And I will probably see 2 lbs a week. But, boy it is WAY harder to be good when the metabolism kicks it up a couple notches.
I have never run across anyone who feels this as much as I do, but it can't be just me, can it?
